  3. Postpublished at Lap 31

Everyone has stopped once. Williams' Felipe Massa drops down to 12th after being the last man to enter the pits. It means Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez, involved in some tense racing, are now sixth and seventh.

Heartstopping moments in the Force India garage as Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez, seventh and eighth respectively, come close but do not hit each other. The team are on course for a good helping of points, if they don't run each other off the track.

We haven't mentioned Felipe Massa, and he is worthy of a mention as he is sixth, although he is the only man who has not stopped yet so he won't be sixth for long.

Hamilton is incredible. What he lacked before was composure, temperament and racing patience. He’s allied exceptional talent and ambition with maturity and calm, and I think he might just now be the most complete driver on the grid. Also, he seems to be getting better and better every year. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so good.

So, at the top, it is as you were in qualifying, with the Mercedes' of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas first and third respectively, with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in the middle.

"I can't believe it, another six or eight points (gone)," says a devastated Fernando Alonso just before pushed back into the McLaren garage.

Another engine problem, yet another one this season for the unlucky Spaniard, and that is him done for the day.
