When the collision happened there was no drama.

    Allan McNish
Formula 1 analyst on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

It is a huge challenge for Sebastian Vettel to get up to second [and keep title alive].

Vettel came from the back row of the grid to fourth in Malaysia. It is possible.

  5. That first lap incidentpublished at 19:11 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2017

We are seeing that first lap incident again.

Verstappen and pole-sitter Vettel bang tyres, that gives Hamilton, in third, a chance to dive outside of Vettel.

Hamilton moves ahead of Vettel, who drives into the back of Hamilton and the front wing from Vettel flies off, with Hamilton suffering a puncture at the same time. What drama. Incredible.

Jake: HAM was teammates with ALO in his rookie season and they were very even so HAM can be considered the best of this gen at least.

  20. Problems coming up at first corner?published at 18:58 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2017

    Allan McNish
Formula 1 analyst on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

It is a long way from the grid to the first corner. The front tyres and brakes will have cooled down by the time they get to that point.

Last year we saw a few drivers lock up, drive straight across the grass and rejoin at Turn Three.

That is an issue for Vettel and Verstappen - Hamilton can sit and watch.
