Your team. Your name. Your colours

Kayleigh: I'd go for something like "Best Team" cause even when we're bad, everyone would be calling us the best. Plus I love an oxymoron. The livery would be whatever colour my hair is that month, so could change a lot. If the car was made right now, it'd be half blue/half green.

I like the thinking, although if I did the same my car's livery wouldn't change for 20 years. The last time I had a different hairstyle was in 1998.

  4. 'No drama' at McLarenpublished at 11:48 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2018

F1 journalist Dan Knutson in Barcelona: The wheel(s) came of McLaren’s first day of testing with new engine partner Renault. There was a wheel nut failure on Fernando Alonso’s car, and the team will have him back out on the track later today. While the stoppage was reminiscent of the unreliable Honda days, the team remains upbeat.

“There is no drama,” McLaren’s Zak Brown said when he chatted with the media in McLaren’s hospitality unit.

“Everyone is quite relaxed and getting on with it. It is quite an easy fix that we are doing to get back out on track. This team is used to public pressure and having eyes on us. We enjoy that. We like to step up to the plate, and we thrive on the opportunity. So we are not in any added pressure that we do not already put on ourselves.”

Force India are arguably F1’s best team in terms of bang for buck but they know they are up against it this year in terms of trying to hold on to fourth place.

But that doesn’t mean they are not going to go for it. Chief operating officer Otmar Szafnauer said: “It is going to be hard for us to maintain where we were last year. Renault have added loads of people and McLaren have changed power-train so they say they are going to be better. Williams have a Paddy Lowe car and hired a chief aerodynamicist from Ferrari. They have more resource than us and bigger facilities. So it will be hard to maintain fourth but that’s our target and we think we can do it.”
