Lex: Unpopular opinion? Räikkönen is a much better driver than Ferrari allow him to be during races.
Standard split strategies at Ferrari as Sebastian Vettel circulates on ultrasofts while Kimi Raikkonen returns to the track on softs.

That's not encouraging signs for race strategists, I would have thought.
"I'm falling off the cliff with the tyre," reports Carlos Sainz.
That's come after just seven laps on the ultrasofts...

Because of the fast, long corners they put a lot of stress on the tyres. The ultrasoft is going to be the one for qualifying but for the race it appears to be giving up very quickly.
Several drivers are lapping on the ultrasofts now, seeing how far they can go before the drop off is too much.
Just getting up or on your way to work? Then here's what you've missed so far:
Jeremiah Kariuki: Kimi is always doing well in the Free Practices. But he disappears completely during the race day. Is he the guinea pig to collect information and data for Ferrari which they then use for Vettel? Or maybe, he is unlucky with races.
Marcus Ericsson is popping out in purple but the majority of his fellow drivers are coming to the end of their qualifying simulation runs and moving onto their long run programme.

A couple of Kimi Raikkonen fans in the stands squeal with delight as their favourite Finn powers past them on his way to a very good lap. He does a 1:33.489, within 0.007s of Lewis Hamilton.
Top three of Hamilton, Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas separated by just 0.033s.
Everyone has done a lap on the ultrasofts so here's the top 10 times:
A few more ultrasoft tyre run times popping up on the board as Sebastian Vettel goes third quickest, a tenth slower than Lewis Hamilton while Max Verstappen is fourth, two tenths further back.
Lance Stroll spins at Turn 8, sliding rear first off the track.
"Oh, I spun," he says over the radio, before getting back on his way. Tyres kaput though.
Meanwhile, his team-mate Sergey Sirotkin has lost his right mirror somewhere along the way. Word of advice for his fellow drivers, stick to the left of the Williams if you attempt a pass because he can't see nowt on the other side.
Good lap Valtteri Bottas! On the ultrasofts, he gets to within 0.033s of Lewis Hamilton's time.
A little mistake at Turn 11 prevents Lewis Hamilton from completing a set of best sector times but it's still enough to put him back into P1 with 1:33.482, half a second quicker than anyone else.
All eyes on Nico Hulkenberg as his purple-tyre run sees him go third quickest with 1:34.313.
Lewis Hamilton is back out on the track now and he's sporting those zippy ultrasofts.
Least favourite race
Nikhil: Abu Dhabi hands down. A track designed by firework specialists where you cannot overtake is not fit for a season finale.
Kimi Raikkonen takes advantage of Lewis Hamilton's absence from the track to go quickest of all, a tenth quicker than the Mercedes.
