"I'm always in traffic, I can't do a lap right now," moans Williams' Lance Stroll.
Brendon Hartley, Sergio Perez and Kimi Raikkonen all vanish off the track in a moment of seconds, and need to hit the reverse to get back on to it.
No grip for anyone. Tough and tricky in Baku.

It has not been a good day for the world championship leader Sebastian Vettel.
Only tenth in session one and lock-ups on his opening two flying laps of the second session.

Just as I write that, Kevin Magnussen and Brendon Hartley go first and second respectively.
A rather unusual top three at the moment of Magnussen, Hartley, Leclerc.
What a race it would be if these were to be the podium finishers on Sunday.
Charles Leclerc, the new boy this season at Sauber, is showing what he is made of. He is quickest out of the 12 to set a time so far.
What is your favourite race of all time and why?
Jon Bennett: Best race for me has to be Donington in '93 at the European GP. Great circuit, great story, great drive by Senna (and not forgetting Barrichello until he retired). Simple.
Alistair Mathieson: Brazil 2003 when there was the one corner several cars went off and then the red flag to finish the race but Fisichella crossed the line first but Alonso won the race.
Ian McCormack: Brazil 2008. I don't think you will ever get a end to a season like that EVER!

First lap of the second session from Sebastian Vettel, and he makes a mess of it, forgetting to turn and go straight on into a run-off area.
We saw a few people do that earlier on at turn two, including Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
Carlos Sainz lays down the first time of the second session, a 1:48.433. It will be beaten as Bottas' best mark earlier was 1:44.242.

We are 10C down at track level from earlier on to a much more manageable 31C. Still hot, but not as hot.
We are back under way. Ninety more minutes for everyone. No sign of Max Verstappen as the Red Bull mechanics still work to patch up his battered Red Bull.

Verstappen or Ricciardo? Who do you prefer and why?
Jazim Sohail: A lot has been made of Verstappen recently due to his poor form and judgement but I think he is definitely the better driver in that team and possibly can challenge for the title this year
Kieran: Max is quick, but has no racecraft, therefore Daniel is better
Andrew Ogley: Max is having a 'mare ... two practice sessions, two crashes ... possibly over-driving?
The view from the castle? Uncomfortable.
It was not a good first session for Carlos Sainz. He was last, and this didn't do his tyres too much good.

Elsewhere in Azerbaijan...
Eighteen-year-old Brit Lando Norris continued his impressive start to life in Formula 2 by securing a front-row spot in the latest race in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.
Norris, competing in only his third weekend of action in Formula 2, won the feature race in Bahrain earlier this month and is second on the grid for the hour-long race in Azerbaijan tomorrow (09:00 BST).
The Brit is a member of the McLaren Young Driver Programme and earlier this week said he wanted to "give McLaren a headache" over their Formula 1 driver selection for 2019.
Thailand's Alex Albon took pole, with other British drivers George Russell and Jack Aitken starting third and seventh respectively tomorrow.

What is your favourite race of all time? Who do you prefer - Verstappen or Ricciardo?
If you were with us earlier on we were asking for your favourite race of all time. We still want those suggestions and also let us know your thoughts on the Red Bull drivers.
Verstappen or Ricciardo? Which one is better and why? Which one do you prefer and why? Can either of them challenge for or win the world title this season?

For the last few days we have had a vote on our Formula 1 pages over which of the Red Bull drivers is better.
The results are in, and they are very one-sided.
Read more of our feature on who is better, Ricciardo or Verstappen?
But once again the headlines were concerning Max Verstappen. He lost control at turn five and spun into the wall, as you can see via this link.

Valtteri Bottas was eighth in the opening race of the season and has finished second in the past two races. Earlier today, nobody could go quicker, as you can see via the official Formula 1 Twitter account.
