What of Sebastian Vettel? I have little to tell you so far. Nothing representative. He is the slowest out there, but that means nothing.

  4. Fantastic lap from Bottaspublished at 11:03 British Summer Time 27 April 2018

Will Ricciardo be Hamilton's team-mate next season? Well, Valtteri Bottas may have something to say about that.

The Finn produces a stunning lap on the ultrasofts. Almost a second faster than Ricciardo.

    Max Verstappen hits the wall

Ray Davies: Mad Max is becoming a liability not only ruining his campaign but those of the other lead drivers. I think Charlie needs to have a word with him. Stop and think about what you are doing or I will force you to sit out a race to do so!

Countdown Music Aust: It takes Crash Verstappen only 11 laps to put his car into the wall. He has to reflect and think about his driving.

Andy K: Verstappen trying to rival Maldonardo for most crashes in a season.

You lot are not too impressed with Verstappen. He has a bit of a way to go to rival Maldonado, as you can see with this graphic...

    Greatest F1 race - #bbcf1

Adam Johnson: My favourite race was Silverstone 2008, Went to it was at Luffield on a very rainy day and saw about three cars spin in front of me. Button did 360 and kept going. Only disappointment was Hamilton won.

John Neathey: The greatest race for me was Spa '98. I'd supported Jordan from the start and this was the one time I almost cried at a result. Just seeing the two Buzzin Hornets tiptoeing through the carnage was enough to send me into raptures! What a day.

Lewis Hamilton misses a corner at turn two but luckily avoids all the walls. He reverses back on to the track, no harm done.

  17. 'Max should think about calming down'published at 10:39 British Summer Time 27 April 2018

    Jolyon Palmer
Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Maybe Max has got to think about calming down for a few weekends and compromise and not go 100%, just 98%, and make sure he gets some points and builds his confidence up.

He has done 11 laps and found the wall again, it is going to be playing on his mind.

    Greatest F1 race - #bbcf1

Liz Emery: Favorite GP of all time was the French Grand Prix in 2000. David Coulthard was on fire that day and pulled off some great moves! And who can forget his cheeky hand signals to Michael Schumacher as they fought for the lead!

Ged Ashton: My favourite moment is the Canadian Grand Prix 2011 where Button won a thriller with six pit stops.

  20. 'Absolute disaster'published at 10:36 British Summer Time 27 April 2018

    Jolyon Palmer
Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live

I have not seen that at Baku before. It was a big hit, it was a tight lefthander but he had a big slide, over-corrected and ended up pointing the wrong way in the wall.

An absolute disaster for Verstappen. I would be amazed if there was not significant damage.
