  3. Ideal start for most of the Silverstone fanspublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 13 July 2019

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Silverstone

There’s a huge cheer from the fans gathered on the start/finish line every time Lewis Hamilton crosses the line with a host of GB flags being waved as well.

It wouldn’t be a race weekend without some support for Max Verstappen and there are a good few orange shirts out there. Ferrari also have a lot of support, with a huge Poland flag in the main stand with some Robert Kubica supporters there too. Unsurprisingly, though, their man was out in the first phase.

Kevin Magnussen is with Jennie Gow. He says: "It's frustrating to lack this kind of pace it's not like we looked super strong but we looked close to the midfield so it wouldn't have taken much to get in front of the midfield. Instead we lost a lot of pace we just lost a lot of front grip and we did some changes but it's difficult to explain.

"We're going to spend this weekend trying to learn and hopefully get some points along the way but frustrating nonetheless."

Romain Grosjean has gone back to the set-up from Australia.
