The safety car now needs to come in, this is raceable.

Ferrari have gifted the midfielders with two extra spots at the top of the grid, which means there's a rare sight of two Alfa Romeos, a Haas and a Racing Point in the top 10.
Can they make the most of that high placing?

Full wets for everyone, just as you have to behind a safety car.
Nigel Teece: There's so many flat caps in the Mercedes team today it seems like it's the Huddersfield Grand Prix...
Jukebox Jack: has proven time and time again that his natural ability in the wet is virtually unsurpassed in modern formula 1. The only hope others have is either that breeds overconfidence and a mistake, or they can out-strategise Mercedes today. No5 for Lewis I think!
Daniel Eckersley: Well I predicted a Leclerc win after practice so I am s c r e w e d

Safety car start. But remember that the sporting regulations state that if the safety car starts, when it is deemed safe to race, they can do a rolling start after the safety car or from the grid, if it is felt safe to do so

Behind the safety car it is then.
"There'll be some laps behind the safety car at the start."
We can't mention wet races, and not mention Malaysia 2009. One of many iconic Kimi Raikkonen moments.
The cars were on the grid during a mid-race postponement following a torrential downpour. Raikkonen had waited long enough for the restart, deciding to leave his car, and the waiting grid, to get an ice cream and a drink before disappearing into the Ferrari motorhome - to the astonishment of the other drivers, his strict paymasters and the millions watching. And that was that.
RantingMrP: It's just a little rain. Safety car start totally unnecessary, I think... Let them sink or swim!
Chris Doherty: This has to be a standing start, these are the best drivers in the world so should be able to handle starting when the track is wet. It also makes it alot more exciting for the fans
