    Lap 32/44

Great wheel-to-wheel stuff between Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton, but it's for second, not first.

Vettel acting like a great 'wingman', something thrown at Valtteri Bottas when he has tried to block off someone to help Hamilton in the past.

    Lap 31/44

We asked earlier if Bottas would block off the Ferraris and let his team-mate drive off into the distance?

Now we're asking the same thing but with Vettel in the role of blocker of the Mercedes, trying to help out Charles Leclerc, whose lead has jumped to nearly five seconds.

I'll say it once more about that Haas strategy, I feel like I must be missing something because it's not like I see what you're trying to do and it hasn't worked out.

Kevin Magnussen dropping, now 16th, only the two Williams cars are behind him.

    Lap 29/44

Have Ferrari botched their strategy? The Mercedes two are much quicker on track at the moment and Vettel is saying he will need another stop.

We sit and wait. An intriguing, if not overly dramatic race so far. We have 15 laps left and any of the top four will fancy their chances of getting on the top step.

  8. Radio message - To Vettelpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 1 September 2019

Vettel: "We got to pit again, question?"

Engineer: "No pit again at the moment."

Norris didn't make Q2, Sainz didn't make Q2, and Sainz didn't really make the start of the race either. Norris in the remaining McLaren is in for a good haul of points.

Norris is fifth and still on course for his best finish ever.

In comes Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, yet to stop and who agreed a year extension with Mercedes last week, now inherits the lead.

Hamilton's stop was not as sharp as he and Mercedes would've liked and he comes out in fourth, with Bottas leading, Vettel second and Leclerc third.
