    Lap 11/61

The excitement so far is all coming from Daniel Ricciardo. He's all over the back of Daniil Kvyat. The Russian holds off the attack again and again but the Australian eventually gets the place. To make it worse for the Russian, Lance Stroll gets ahead as well.

Ricciardo - qualified eighth, then disqualified from qualifying, starts 20th, now 12th. Two more and he's back in the points.

Jeremiah Kariuki: Strange that the fastest lap honour is with Hulkenberg at this point. But he is down in 18th. That could mean the top cars are managing their pace.

Leclerc, Hamilton, Vettel, Verstappen, Bottas, Albon. That's how we started. Nnine laps later and we're still like that. But only one second ish gap between each car. And we've got a long, long, long way to go.

Ricciardo never one to back down from an overtake or 50/50 fight, and he made it through past Stroll. You've got to get your elbows out. He could be the hero of today's race coming from the back of the grid, and he's up to 13th.

Hulkenberg and Sainz, no further action. Both have not had much joy from that collision early on. Sainz 20th, Hulkenberg 18th after they had began seventh and eighth respectively. Ouch.

It's such a physical long race this one as well. It's the toughest of the year and the one they all train for the most. It's two hours long, sweating through a grueling street circuit grand prix.

    Lap 7/61

Kevin Magnussen has climbed four spots from his beginning place of 13th. Nico Hulkenberg, after that earlier puncture, now has the fastest lap. It will be a crazy, crazy race if he has that at the end.

  13. Radio message - Sainzpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

    "There's something not normal."

Engineer: "We may have aerodynamic damage but we think the suspension is ok."

More bad news for Carlos Sainz, with our commentators wondering if it's time to throw the towel in. He's retired from both the previous two races of the season. Could be an unwanted hat-trick for the McLaren man.

Grosjean takes the Singapore scenic route. It's not too bad for him though as he gets back on to track. He's 16th, one place ahead of where he started.

  16. Radio message - Sainzpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

"I have a puncture, Hulkenberg crashed into me I think."

That's why the Spaniard is now last, one lap down.
