    SO...

With all this growing talk of the teams (not remotely) agreeing what to do about the rules and costs from 2021 onwards, I was thinking... (apologies)

What's wrong with F1? I think it's fine - unpredictable, entertaining and other stuff.

The world needs to realise that for every Germany, Italy and Singapore this year we have to accept a few Frances.

So what do you lot think we need to change about it?

Lewis Hamilton has always been partial to a hoodie, but this one tips a nod to the storm clouds overhead - both literally and figuratively speaking for an out-of-sorts Mercedes team on a potentially wet day at Sochi.

Can't remember if there's ever been rain during a Russian GP sesh. But there could be for qualifying today.

Stroll for pole? He nearly did it once before...

Not on the radio for this session because of rugby or something boring.

Fresh from a very positive weekend in Singapore for McLaren, there was some equally positive off-track news emanating from the team as it emerged that they will switch to Mercedes engines from 2021.

On track in Russia, things were not going so well, with both drivers struggling for pace and lacking confidence in the car.

“A challenging day,” said Carlos Sainz, who was 17th. “If not we wouldn’t be as far back as we are.

"We tried a few things that didn’t work or were not in the right direction.

"It looks like a challenging weekend for us because we are not able to generate any grip in sector three, which is like Singapore, so we don’t really understand why we are slow.”

Team-mate Lando Norris was a more respectable 11th and 0.4secs quicker, but he wasn’t happy either, saying the car was unpredictable.

Dunno why Kayleigh's saying the end is in sight in relation to McLaren's new 2021 engine deal with Mercedes.

They've been getting better and better this season.

Anyway, here's the story in case you didn't know...

Bernie's here. Which probably means Vladimir Putin will be, at some point this weekend.

So are you coming, or what?
