And Verstappen then gets Hamilton back again. Superb stuff.

Hamilton versus Verstappen is always an amazing battle. Now the Brit, round the outside, now gets back ahead of Verstappen.

That is for third and fourth place, but the front two have not pitted, so in effect this is the race lead they're fighting for.

  4. Postpublished at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

Max Verstappen, who was nearly sent into the wall by Kubica in the pits, was behind Hamilton, but not for long.

Verstappen gets ahead of Hamilton. Brilliant stuff. But wait...

Disaster for Red Bull, but not their own fault. Their stop is perfect, but Verstappen nearly smashes into Robert Kubica in the pits. Surely an unsafe release from Williams.

Kubica holds up Verstappen, who comes back on to track behind Hamilton.

Red Bull, trying to cover off that Hamilton pitstop, bring in Max Verstappen from the lead.

  7. Hamilton into the pitspublished at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

An undercut attempt for the world champion. Lewis Hamilton, from second, comes in and is still on the softs.

That's a two-stop strategy for him. We weren't expecting that one. Mercedes going for it

    Five-second penalty for Ricciardo #bbcf1

Simon Baker: This sort of thing with the stewards is a classic case of how inconsistent the stewarding standards are in F1. FIA have the same stewards at all race meetings, common sense!

Kayleigh: The race stewards are clowns.

Let them race only applies to some cars, and other cars get penalties.

No way is that a five-second penalty. These incidents happen and Ricciardo doesn't have space on the inside - apart from on the kerb which is what caused the lock up. There's no guideline for that one, they make it up as they go along.

Warning flag? What's a warning flag? They left it in Monza.

It's actually unbelievable isn't it. Every time you wonder what on earth they're looking at sometimes.

Apart from that Hamilton pass on Vettel at the first corner, it has been a very, very routine race at the front so far.

Verstappen, Hamilton, Vettel, Bottas, Albon, Leclerc.

    #bbcf1

Cactus Jack: Where was Danny Ric meant to have gone? Magnussen has mirrors he should use them. Magnussen's fault, he had the whole right hand side of the track to use to give Danny space.

  17. Five-second penalty for Riccairdopublished at 17:31 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

Magnussen will be a bit less angry when he finds out Daniel Ricciardo has been given a five-second penalty for that attacking move down the inside. The pair hit each other with the race ruined for both men.

Ricciardo last and now five seconds to be added. Maybe he will go for the 'I don't care and try to attack everyone approach'. He's always entertaining when he's in that mode.
