    Lap 51/71

Sebastian Vettel pits from the lead. He is going to be a long way behind the leaders when he returns to the track in fourth. Twenty seconds in fact.

Verstappen one, Hamilton two. That should be how they finish, but in what order? A fascinating 20 laps to go.

This one seems a straight fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton for the win. They will both get past race leader Sebastian Vettel very, very soon.

A good battle between Charles Leclerc in fifth and Valtteri Bottas in sixth. The Ferrari man holding off the advances so far.

    Lap 46/71

But it didn't last long though as Verstappen is ahead of Hamilton, both closing down current race leader Sebastian Vettel.

    Lap 46/71

Jolyon called it and that's what happens. What Mercedes do, Red Bull follow immediately after. Red Bull get the job done in 1.9 seconds for Verstappen's second, and hopefully final, pit stop. Superb stuff from the team and that is why Verstappen is back out ahead of Hamilton.

Vettel inherits the lead, but the two behind him are on much fresher tyres. A safety car could give Vettel a free pit stop though. That might be his only hope.

LH: "What are you waiting for I can't get any closer than this?"

If he pits now Verstappen will pit on the next lap and cover him off. I think Mercedes are hoping Verstappen stumbles over traffic to cut the gap.

    Hamilton pits...

Engineer: "Ok Lewis, out lap critical."

    LH: "Yeah man I realise."

    Lap 44/71

Hamilton is driving angry, moaning at his team for not doing what he wanted. No sign of him letting up, even though he has the world title in the bag.

This quest for perfection is one of the reasons why he's a six-time world champion.

Willem Mevius: Vettel will struggle on the medium tyres near the end. Bottas on the hards should finish ahead of him.

Paul McKenzie: Absolutely mystified why Mercedes brought Lewis Hamilton in early. His tyres were much less worn than Verstappen who was complaining about them and played into his hands? Another strategy error.

A five-second penalty for Robert Kubica for that unsafe release in the pits when he got in the way of Max Verstappen.

Luckily for the Pole, Verstappen got back ahead of Hamilton so Kubica won't need to watch out for any post-race pushing from the Dutchman, who last year hunted down Esteban Ocon following an on-track collision.

"We're thinking two-stop is OK to use the tyres, we need to protect from undercut from Albon."

Bottas started on the softs, and has switched to the hards, now pits for the mediums.

Third and sixth. Not that 'peachy' really for Ferrari.

David Johnson: Which has been the most awful this sporting season - VAR in the Premier League or bizarre steward decisions in F1? I’m genuinely unsure.

Dave England: What happened to let them race? Did the black and white flag get left in the Ferrari pit by mistake?

Surely it can't be worse than VAR, David?
