There are reports that as many as six drivers are under investigation for using DRS under yellow flags.

Carlos Sainz, bumped up from fourth to third, is one of them.

This is a crazy finish after a crazy race. If Sainz is penalised, next in line is Raikkonen.

Johnny Clark: Okay, the penalty system in F1 needs fixed - urgently. 1) There should be a time limit on the steward decisions. 2) No podium ceremonies until all decisions have been made. This “will they or won’t they” is haemorrhaging fans.

D.A.N: McLaren's first podium in about 5 years, Sainz's first ever... Robbed of celebrating it properly because the stewards TAKE TOO LONG. This needs sorting.

    Can't disagree with this.

    Hamilton five-second penalty #bbcf1

Aidan Cush: I don't understand why people are so determined for the Hamilton move to be a racing incident. He made a move and took another car off and then admitted his fault. And I think the stewards know how to do their job better than the majority of people watching.

Zoony: Great race, Lewis having wrapped up the championship had nothing to lose now so could be more bold in attacking situations.

Ferrari's team principal Mattia Binotto is with the stewards, and it looks like there's a queue of drivers and team personnel awaiting the headmaster as there were some drivers who used DRS under one of the yellow flags.

And what a result for Honda too as they get a one-two thanks to Max Verstappen's Red Bull and Pierre Gasly's Toro Rosso.

    Hamilton given five-second penalty #bbcf1

Wolf: This wouldn’t have happened if Hamilton needed to finish top six to win the Championship. He’s already champion so giving him this penalty is easy. F1 is a joke.

Richard Browne: Race control has covered itself with embarrassment today. The totally unnecessary safety car and now five seconds for a racing incident ... too late for Carlos. Shambles.

Simon: Sainz finally gets a first official podium with P3, pity there was no podium visit, but still great drive from P20 to this result.

  18. McLaren's last podium?published at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

The last time the team tasted champagne was in Australia in 2014 as Kevin Magnussen and Jenson Button placed second and third respectively.

But Button didn't get to celebrate on the podium as Daniel Ricciardo was third in the race, but was subsequently disqualified.

Prior to that it was Brazil again in 2012, and that was a long time ago.

Your reaction to the Brazilian GP #bbcf1

Andrew Peck: 1. Vettel’s fault. He has previous. Definitely moved across to try to squeeze. 2. Lewis saw a gap. Albon should not left the door ajar!! Both racing incidents though. Hopefully no penalty for anyone. Great race.

Legends Nights: Vettel totally at fault for the Ferrari incident - the red mist descends when his team mate becomes a threat. Deliberate? Desperately unlucky for Albon - All triggered by Bottas' failure to pass Leclerc, his engine going & SC coming out!

Sorry, Andrew, a five-second penalty for Lewis.
