  7. 'Days like today are just amazing'published at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

A very happy yet emotional Pierre Gasly, stops to reflect among the celebrations after coming second. "It's the best day of my life right now - so many emotions," he says. "I think about all the people who helped me through my career an all the people who supported me - I just want to thank these guys.

"When I crossed the finish line I had so many things going through my mind - it was emotional!

"[It's been hard] in the last few months, but it's all the sacrifices you make when you are young. Your first dream is Formula 1 you have so many people help you and you have a lot of things to get through and you dream of your first podium and I didn't think it would happen this season with Toro Rosso and I keep working hard and trying to get the most out of myself and today it happened. Days like today are just amazing.

"In the last lap I was P4 and I knew Lewis was going to try something, and I thought 'OK this is good, and I really didn't want to let Lewis past.

"A big congratulations to Honda and thanks to all the guys."

  8. 'Lots of samba on the racing floor'published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

Antonio Giovinazzi started the day on four points, if he stays in his current spot of sixth, easily the best result of his career, he will have tripled that total and now be on 12.

Also, now we can all say "lots of samba on the racing floor today" in Italian, which can only be a good thing.

  14. Listen to Ferrari's shocking crash which causes a double retirementpublished at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

And this is the incident that started the chaos in the last few laps with both Ferraris clashing and both out of the race.

  15. 'Turkey-ed it'published at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

In the race commentary, Jolyon Palmer referred to the Ferrari crash as Vettel "Mark Webbered Turkey-ed it" referring to Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull days with Mark Webber when they crashed at the Turkish Grand Prix.

For those who don't remember, Vettel came up the inside of Webber on the straight, edges ahead of the Aussie, then nudges him to the right. They touched wheels and both retired... just like today.

Your take on Hamilton and Albon incident #bbcf1

Francesca Gunn: I don’t care what Hamilton says, Albon left a huge door open... Hamilton went from it and then Albon cost him and Hamilton’s 2nd place, Albon knew he lost the place and panicked.

Nathan Mazran: Don't think its a penalty, but silly from Hamilton. He had another lap and only had to wait till he got to the straight.

Marc: I think people are being a bit harsh on Lewis , Alex left the door open what was he supposed to do? The clue is in the name “Racing Driver”.

These were the times at the moment. We'll be going for a lot longer though as we wait to hear what the stewards say about a number of incidents.

A very mixed up top 10 and that is great to see and great for the sport.

"Massive apologies to Albon," says Hamilton, but it still might not be enough to save him from a penalty.

A five-second penalty and that could be from third to eighth for the world champion. Carlos Sainz sits and waits to hear if he has the first podium of his career.

Sainz started last, and could well be on the podium. In an afternoon of incredible stories, this could be one remarkable performance.

  19. 'Massive apologies to Albon'published at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

Lewis Hamilton who crossed the line third, says: "Max did a great job - he was very fair the way he positioned the car. Massive apologies to Albon - the gap was there but it was completely my fault.

"They did a fantastic job, they outperformed us on the straights - he raced my heart out and took a lot of risks today, as you could see.

"We threw every and the kitchen sink at it. We could keep up through the corners but on the straights I don't think there was anything we could do."

"I've been many times on the podium and you cannot forget it. This is what I love about motorsports, I was just battling giving it as much a is could, a great finish with Lewis, a big congratulations and big thanks to these guys. I'm just so happy.

"I was praying of the engine to give everything it had. Without Honda that would not have been possible."
