There was nothing Leclerc could do.
This is miserable viewing for the tifosi in the stands. Charles Leclerc's Ferrari is as vulnerable as a peach in a blender, very under-powered.
After being third on the restart gird, the Frenchman is down to seventh.
And he dives into the pits.
Alex Albon is also making moves. He overtakes Sergio Perez and then Charles Leclerc to move to fifth.
New top five: Hamilton, Bottas, Stroll, Ricciardo, Albon
Daniel Ricciardo's Renault shows impressive straight line speed to pick off Charles Leclerc and claim fourth.
The new top five: Hamilton, Bottas, Stroll, Ricciardo, Leclerc.
Lance Stroll, coming under pressure from Ricciardo, gets a wriggle on and sweeps past Charles Leclerc's Ferrari...
Daniel Ricciardo is making it a three-way party for third. Lance Stroll in fourth is in sights, with Charles Leclerc just a little bit further up the road.
Is Valtteri Bottas shutting the gap on Lewis Hamilton slightly? The gap to the leader is down to 1.4 seconds. Or is Hamilton doing just enough to hold him out of DRS range while preserving his tyres?
Alex Albon is trying to follow Daniel Ricciardo's lead. The Red Bull driver is seventh behind Sergio Perez, but he is within 0.7 seconds of the Mexican.
Daniel Ricciardo with a lovely execution of the DRS, whipping arond Sergio Perez to take fifth spot. Text book from the Aussie.
Hamilton leads from Bottas after restart
Francesca Gunn: Yes!! Great start from hammy! Get in!!
James Townsend: Is Bottas just happy to be there? No interest in battling with Hamilton?
Tanya Smith: I like Bottas, but he seems to lack a killer instinct for racing. Needs to take a few more risks for more rewards.
Josh Earl: Yes Lewis!! Great restart.

It was really poor race craft from Bottas. When he is behind he doesn't try to attack and when he is in front he doesn't try to defend.
Valtteri Bottas' lead over Charles Leclerc in third is more than four seconds.
Are the rest scrapping for the bottom step of the podium?
Lewis Hamilton is out of DRS range for Valtteri Bottas. Mugello does not look very overtake friendly with lots of full-bore corners.
That might be the last the rest of the pack see of the world champion.

Bottas was just soft. He allowed Hamilton around him.
Further back, Albon has had a stinker.

Hamilton goes around Bottas. If that doesn't sum up the championship campaign I don't know what does.
Hamilton has already opened up a second and a half on Bottas at the front.
Leclerc, in turn, is struggling to keep in contact with Bottas.
Lance Stroll is putting pressure on the Ferrari in third.
Lance Stroll and Sergio Perez are up to fourth and fifth as Alex Albon slips back to seventh behind Daniel Ricciardo.
But Hamilton sweeps past Bottas at turn two!
Bottas away cleanly, Hamilton slots in second...
