Rebecca: Should race control have turned DRS on during this Turkish Grand Prix?

Willem: Perez' tyres look like slicks, especially the right front.

Daniel: Always good on his tyres, that lad Sergio.

Hamilton leads from Perez and Leclerc

CDS: Only 2 cars have retired from this race is awesome.

Jacob Strong Greys: please bring us some rain! Such a shame to see the Racing Point cars being outdone by the faster Mercedes and Red Bull cars. Last few laps chaos please.

Steven Blake: Absolutely brilliant F1 race in Turkey today. Verstappen or Hamilton are going to win but which of them will?? Who knows. Get rid of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and France next year and bring back Imola, Mugello and Turkey.

When Vettel pitted Hamilton said "don't pit me". Maybe Mercedes wouldn't have pitted him anyway but that call has really paid off.

After all this craziness, after all this excitement, we have Lewis Hamilton with a 16-second lead.

He is just incredible. As long as his car doesn't let him down or he makes a costly error, this is going to be a race win and world title number seven.

Hamilton is desperately trying to build his lead. He would like a free pit stop and for that he would need a 20-second advantage. At the moment it is 15 seconds.

Hamilton leads from Perez and Verstappen

Chris Lord: Feel that DRS ruined this race?

John Petrie: Lewis Hamilton is showing just how good he is today. This is not about the car it is about the driver. Quality and class in testing conditions.

Nathan Marzan: You spin me right round baby right round like Valtteri Bottas right round right round!

Valtteri Bottas is about to be lapped by Lewis Hamilton.

  14. Postpublished at Lap 43/58

Valtteri Bottas gets the 'get-out-of-the-way' blue flags waved at him. That's because Lewis Hamilton, race leader, is just behind him. Bottas is 13th.

The Finn needs to be at least sixth and get eight more points than Hamilton for the world title race to stay alive.

    Both look extremely, extremely unlikely.

"It looks it is getting darker," Hamilton says. "Is there more rain?"

"There is a risk of it," is the response.

Alexander Albon has now cleared Lance Stroll. Stroll was ahead at the halfway point, he's tumbling fast and now seventh, with Carlos Sainz now attacking him for eighth.

These new tyres have been an absolute disaster for Stroll. He had a chance for a win, now he might not even get a point.
