Hamilton is absolutely flying.
Red Bull: "Max thoughts on conditions?"
Verstappen: "Well, if the slicks are not better, then what do you want me to do?!"
He came in to the pits seconds later.
Nothing wrong with that Verstappen stop, 2.2 seconds. Incredible.

We have a race on our hands.
Verstappen pits from the lead. Hamilton stays out and inherits first spot.
Vettel is now the quickest on track.

Now is the time to pit for dry tyres for Bottas. Vettel has just done an OK first sector.
Team strategy could be the difference between glory and disappointment. Who is getting this one right? Lap 26 out of 63 and the lead is only 1.2 seconds between Verstappen and Hamilton.
Do not go anywhere.
Red Bull: "How are conditions Max?"
Verstappen: "They are drying... but not enough."
You can see why Aston Martin decided to gamble on Vettel going on to the slicks. He qualified 13th and was well down the field. Not paid off yet though.

Maybe Vettel has gone a lap or two early with the slick tyres. No-one else has jumped at the first time of asking.
Why did it take so long to decide the penalty for something that happened before the race. Vettel didn't have the wheels on the car five minutes before the start of the race, as his team frantically fixed a brake issue.
Ten seconds stop and go for Vettel, so he's just been in the pits and has to come in again.

All eyes now are on Sebastian Vettel on slick tyres.
Sebastian Vettel is the first on to the medium slicks. Everyone will be very interested to see how he gets on. He's down in 17th.

Hamilton has this damage to the front wing left end plate. I have asked Mercedes if they will change the front wing when he comes in. They have not ruled it out.

Simon Baker: Doesn't it make sense for Mercedes to use Bottas for experimenting with tyre choice in the changing conditions? Especially considering the fact that he's so far behind Hamilton already.
TheVoiceTroll: Is it me or has Verstappen matured quite a lot since lsat season?
Better news for Sergio Perez, that stop-go penalty is actually a 10-second penalty, which he can take when he pits, so a penalty, but not as severe as F1 firstly announced.
"The fronts are gone."
"The track is drying a bit but not enough for the moment."
