    Next driver to spend a bit of time at the top of the time sheets is Valtteri Bottas in his Alfa Romeo, but that stay is ended sharpish as the likes of George Russell in the his Mercedes and then Ferrari's Charles Leclerc take the Finn's spot.

    Mercedes feel like this is a really strong opportunity for them this weekend, they have no grid penalties, whereas the counterparts do at Ferrari and Red Bull, and the car looks good, they feel comfortable and confident this weekend. They haven't won yet this year and their qualifying performance is the thing that hurts them, so they want to start as far up the grid as they possibly can to give themselves a really good chance.
