Alpine’s test might be over already but that doesn’t mean reserve driver Oscar Piastri isn’t still working. The highly-rated Australian won three junior category titles in a row but was unfortunate to miss out on a race seat this year, so he’s very much in learning mode awaiting his chance. So he’s using this afternoon to check out some rival cars trackside.

  15. 'Completely the right decision'published at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2022

Pierre Gasly: “I am really pleased this decision was made. It is completely the right one. Knowing they are in war. I don’t support the action they are taking. It is a relief F1 is also cancelling the grand prix.

“About Ukraine, it’s really sad to see what’s happening. In 2022, to see innocent people… breaking families and dying from basically a reason which I don’t support is very sad and seeing all these videos.

“I am also personally affected having some people close to me in Ukraine right now. It’s a very difficult situation and very scary because they don’t know if they are going to be able to make it out and see their relatives.”

  16. 'Bigger things out there than racing'published at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2022

Lando Norris: “Sad to see what’s going on. A very good decision from F1. Not a place I would want to be going right now and very sad to see what’s going on and the innocent lives that are being taken.”

Alex Albon: “I think it’s the right step. It’s really saddening. There are much bigger things out there than racing.”
