    Carlos Sainz said he had 'goosebumps' when he crossed the line to take pole position at Monza for Ferrari on Saturday - his first of the 2023 season and the fourth of his F1 career.

    The Spaniard is up against it today, however, as Max Verstappen chases a record that has stood for nearly decade and is held by a former Red Bull great who retired not too long ago.

    In 2013, Sebastian Vettel won in Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Korea, Japan, India, Abu Dhabi, the United States and Brazil to secure a run of nine victories in a row and wrote his name in the history books as the all-time consecutive wins record holder.

    Either the tifosi are going to be painting the town red thanks to a Ferrari success at Monza tonight, or Verstappen and the orange army will be celebrating another significant milestone for the two-time world champion.
