Drivers who are yet to pit are Norris who leads the race, Leclerc, Piastri, Sainz and then you have to have to go all the way back to Kevin Magnussen who is the only other driver not to have a pit-stop yet.

Charles Leclerc doesn't put up a fight as Max Verstappen gets the better of him to move into second place.

Leclerc still hasn't made a stop, and looks to be on a one-stop strategy.

Andrew Priestley: So close to a couple of terrible accidents in the pit lane. Cars flashing across the front of others at 60mph with so many of the pit crew standing exposed.

Just seeing a replay of the Pierre Gasly stop and the rear tyre was not fitted properly, resulting in the car dropping off the jack. Gasly checked over the radio to see if his mechanic was OK and he was thankfully.

Very tight in the pit-lane, it's going to be getting tighter between Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, this for me is probably the most exciting battle and most intriguing battle that we are going to have for this grand prix. That final place on the podium, can Lando Norris hold on to the fast charging of Charles Leclerc.

There were some close calls during that flurry of stops with drivers being released just as others were coming in.

Meanwhile, Pierre Gasly had a terrible stop as there was an issue with one of the tyres.

Sainz is just trying to put him [Russell] a little bit in any way that he can, trying to fill his mirrors and make him worry about the car behind.

George Russell is in a real battle to hold onto seventh with Carlos Sainz filling up his mirrors. Only a matter of time before the Ferrari can make a move.

Looking at Alonso and watching his race pace, it seems like he was always aware that that was always going to be the case, he was going to be a bit of a sitting duck with those tyres.

The Aston Martin not really being able to hold on to those tyres as well as other people, so he didn't put up too much of challenge after Perez had gone through.

Lewis Hamilton was not happy at all on the softs, despite making a couple of overtakes, let's see if the mediums bring him more joy.

In comes Lewis Hamilton also as he ditches the softs for mediums.

Meanwhile, out in front Max Verstappen is in a race of his own with an eight second advantage.

Lando Norris makes his move on Fernando Alonso at the hairpin and he makes it stick. The McLaren is up into the podium places.

It's kind of status quo at the top of the pack, the top eight cars, give or take have not really made or lost too much in the early phases of the race, it's now going to be about tyre preservation, who can hang on to these medium compound tyres the best. I think we will start to see changes in 10 or 12 laps.
