Dublin just have too much quality for Tyrone. They are winning probably 13 out of the 15 individual battles.

  5. Half-time: Dublin 1-09 0-05 Tyronepublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

Dublin utterly dominant here. The Dubs are having so much time on the ball. Hard to see a route back for Tyrone. Mickey Harte is going to have to deliver the mother of all team talks.

Colm Cavanagh looks a tad fortunate to only pick up a yellow card as his high boot catches Brian Fenton in the stomach as the Dub attempts a shot. Rock points the resultant free. Peter Harte replies at the other end as we are already in first-half injury-time .

  7. Dublin in total controlpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

The Dubs have been hand passing the ball around for the past two minutes and the Hill are cheering every pass. It is starting to become a little embarrassing for Tyrone. Not surprisingly, Mickey Harte has made a change with Declan McClure replacing Conall McCann.

Dublin just seem to have so much time to set up their scoring chances as Brian Fenton fires over following another deliberate build-up. Tyrone need to come up with some answers quickly or this game is going to slip out of reach. The only ray of sunshine for Tyrone is that three Dubs have already been booked as John Small is yellow carded by David Coldrick.

  13. Dublin 1-04 0-02 Tyronepublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

Dublin are strolling around here finding their men with ease. After a slow build-up, Ciaran Kilkenny strokes over another score. Tyrone then have another escape as Niall Morgan has to make a vital save to prevent Paul Mannion from notching a second Dublin goal after he cuts inside. A goal there and it could have been lights out already for the Red Hands.

My goodness, Con O'Callaghan has just charged 50 metres down the middle and hammered the ball into the roof of the net. What a strike.

The noise from the swathes of Blue tells you what they think of this Red Hand stunt.

    No Connolly for Dublin

The big talking point in advance of the game was whether Jim Gavin was going to start Diarmuid Connolly, whose 12-week ban for pushing a linesman in early June elapsed at midnight.

Well, he hasn't although the Dubs boss has made one change from the side he announced last night with Niall Scully replacing Eric Lowndes at left half-forward.

Scully's inclusion is Dublin's only change from the win over Monaghan.

Mickey Harte's only change from the hammering of Armagh sees two-goal substitute that day David Mulgrew drafted into the starting 15 ahead of Declan McClure as the Red Hands will start as selected on Thursday night.

    Dublin: S Cluxton; P McMahon, C O'Sullivan, M Fitzsimons; J Cooper, J Small, J McCaffrey; B Fenton, J McCarthy; C Kilkenny, C O'Callaghan, N Scully; P Mannion, P Andrews, D Rock.

    Tyrone: N Morgan; A McCrory, R McNamee, C McCarron; T McCann, P Hampsey, P Harte; C Cavanagh, C McCann; D Mulgrew, N Sludden, K McGeary; M Bradley, S Cavanagh, M Donnelly.
