  1. Tyrone squad 'willing Sean Cavanagh' towards All-Ireland Finalpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

Tyrone players are determined Sean Cavanagh's last Red Hand game will be the All-Ireland Final but Mickey Harte says today's contest with Dublin is also a big stage.

"They are so willing him to be in a position to play in an All-Ireland Final because those are the kind of games a player of his calibre should be finishing on," said Harte.

Cavanagh, who is now 34, was sent off in last year's All-Ireland quarter-final by Mayo, which would have been a horrible way for an inter-county career to finish.

"But regardless whether we win Sunday's game or not, this game against Dublin is a proper stage for Sean Cavanagh to be on."

  2. Harte planning to 'go on and on'published at 15:39 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

Mickey Harte probably won't appreciate being compared to Margaret Thatcher but his comments to BBC Sport NI's Thomas Niblock this week about having no intention of stepping down whatever happens today did remind one of the Iron Lady's "I hope to go and on" remark to BBC political editor John Cole in 1987.

Just to remind you of the context, the Tyrone county board decided last September to rebuff Harte's request for an immediate contract extension beyond 2017.

So at is stands, Harte's deal is up once Tyrone bow out this year although it seems a given that he will be offered a new term to extend a reign that began 15 years ago.

  4. Mayo to face ??????published at 15:25 British Summer Time 27 August 2017

We've scarcely got our breath back after Mayo's magnificent win over Kerry yesterday but it's time for the second helping of All-Ireland Football semi-final action.

And what an intriguing match we have on our hands as Jim Gavin's Dublin juggernaut aim to stay on course for a three-in-a-row by seeing off Mickey Harte's ever-improving Tyrone side.

Without doubt, the Dubs are favourites but there is just that suspicion that Harte's turnover tearaways may have it in the legs to cause an upset.

We all know the Tyrone method by now. Get nearly everybody behind the ball, force the concession of possession and break at pace.

Donegal's similar game-plan shocked the Dubs at the same stage three years ago although Dublin are not quite so gung-ho three years on.

Will they be able to break down Tyrone or have the ability to kick enough scores from distance.

What a match we have in prospect.
