A shot from  Retro Rovers B  looked to be trickling over the line but a combination of a save by the keeper and subsequent back-spin meant the ball somehow managed to stay out the goal.

A close shave for  Cleethorpes Ancient Mariners A !

Check out Rochdale Strollers , who limbered up for combat with a round of foot golf at Marland Golf Course on Friday.

Watch out for efforts from distance...

We met the South London Laces  earlier today (13:22).

They entered three teams in this years FA People's Cup- that alone is pretty impressive!

But we wanted to know more about their history, and they've told us, and all of you...

    Now we're even more impressed!

It could be raining goals in Shoreditch if Veteran Male team  Trent Old Boys' assessment of their squad strength is accurate.

"We all played together 20 years ago at Nottingham Trent University and we're looking forward to rolling back the years and playing again," says team member Jon Crutchlow.

"My only concern is we don’t have enough defenders because they're all forward-thinking players."

We want Keegan-esque levels of gung-ho action, Jon. Release the hounds...

  16. Raiding across the borderpublished at 14:29 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

One of a few Welsh teams taking part in the People's Cup, Amlwch Town Seniors  from Anglesea are bravely playing their first ever competitive fixtures in Chester this afternoon.

We're hoping to check in with them later and see if they managed to keep up with the rugby from Murrayfield (kick-off 14:25, so a shocking clash with the walking football) - and weren't too distracted from the job at hand, ie. revenge for England's win in Cardiff a fortnight ago.

Idwal and co - let us know how you're getting on with the football, rugby or both!
