That is a surprise from Tiger Woods as I did not think the lie was that bad.

    T Woods -7, F Molinari -6 (10)

"FORE!" It's Tiger's ball that has gone way left out of the rough. It looks like real trouble but ricochets off the crowd and back towards the green. It's going to be very tough from there but it could have been worse.

What's the secret to a good final round at the Open? Feeling rough.

"I was a little hungover. I had too much to drink last night," says clubhouse leader Eddie Pepperell.

"I was so frustrated with yesterday that today was - I wouldn't say a write-off, but I didn't feel as though I was in the tournament.

"I just had some wine with my coach. We drowned our sorrows for about half an hour. It was enjoyable. I didn't really think I had that much to drink. I'm just a lightweight!"

Those rosy red cheeks are a giveaway Eddie...

The rule on no taking photos on Championship days appears to have been relaxed.

Take them when shots are not being played. Put the phones away when the ball is addressed.

One marshal on the 10th fairway looks bewildered by the volume of people following this game. I’ll be glad when it’s gone past she tells me.

There’s a little bridge over the burn to the left of the 10th green. It’s a real logjam for the first time this week. No more space round the green.

Jordan Spieth thinks his bunker shot is in... it's not quite, but that's a very solid effort and it nestles right up to the pin. Should be down for par, and he is.

He stays one stroke behind Tiger Woods.

Ian McKellar: If anyone beats Tiger Woods now they will be the least popular winner of The Open sink Stewart Cink beat Tom Watson.

Andrew Priestley: Very impressed with Tiger Woods so far today. I never thought I’d see the day he would lead a major tournament deep into the final round. Great to see.

The sun beats onto the back of Tiger Woods' red shirt as he stands over a putt to increase his lead...

A scream of "GET IN THE HOLE" from the stands comes when Woods makes contact.

It looks good. It looks very good... No! A late move in the last foot. A par for Woods. He's still one clear of his playing partner Francesco Molinari and Jordan Spieth.

  20. Woods finds the green from bunkerpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 22 July 2018

    T Woods -7, F Molinari -6 (9)

Tiger Woods now leads The Open but is in the bunker on the 10th.

He isn't too close to the front of the trap but has water to clear before the green.

    Will he go for it?

Yes... Woods launches it. He nearly spins off his feet. What a shot. On the green and 20 feet from the hole.
