  1. Molinari in the drink!!published at 17:36 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -10 (11)

Molinari pegs up first... two practice swings, mental rehearsal done... oh no!!

A casual swing leaves it under-hit, landing on the bank and reversing into the water. Oh no.

Odds on Tiger to make that mistake? Slim....

  2. 'Plenty of drama to come'published at 17:35 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Peter Alliss
    BBC Sport golf commentator

I've seen a lot of drama here over the last 40 years. There's a lot more excitement to come in the next couple of hours and we're hearing that heavy rain is coming this way.

  3. 'He does not need to take this on'published at 17:33 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Shaun Micheel
2003 US PGA Championship winner on BBC Radio 5 live

The front left and the front right of the green at the 12th hole look very similar.

Frankie will be looking at the camera tower and the bunker which is there to protect you from going back into Rae's Creek. The target is pretty obvious to everyone. At this point in the tournament he does not need to take this on.

A three is not going to hurt him but a five could derail him.

Gulp. Our final group are having to wait after Koepka and Poulter go swimming. If there is one golf hole in the world where you really don't want too much time to think....

  5. Double double...published at 17:33 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Koepka -9 (12) Poulter -7 (12)

Brooks Koepka can't make his bogey putt on 12 and that's a double. Back to nine under. He will replay that strike into the water in his mind I'm sure.

What about Ian Poulter? This is big. He thinks he makes it but it breaks right late on. Double trouble.

  6. Hole 12 - The Golden Bellpublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Par 3, 155 yards

One of the world's most famous golf holes is also Augusta National's shortest par three.

Come on everyone has imagined strolling over the Ben Hogan Bridge to reach the green haven't they?

Club selection can be a bit of a pick and mix here though depending on wind conditions, with anything from a six-iron to nine-iron coming into play.

Rae's Creek and three small beaches, I mean bunkers, also make life pretty challenging. A heartbreaker of a hole if there ever was one.

If you're wondering just how it looks off the tee.....

A few groans tell you everything you need to know... Woods can't convert that birdie putt. He taps in for a four and Molinari maintains his two-shot lead.

    It's make or break time....

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -10 (10)

If Molinari had to choose a weapon to save his life, he would pull out the putter. The Italian sends his birdie putt up the hill.... knees start bending, eyes start widening... he likes it. But the line holds and ball stays on ground level.

    Woods for the birdie...

Poulter gets his ball wet on 12.

He has a 10 footer to make for a bogey, as does his mate from swimming club, Brooks Koepka.

  10. What a shot!published at 17:27 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -10 (10)

Molinari is tight to the trees in the cut on the right. What's he got up his sleeve here? A rabbit!

The Open champion cuts his approach with the precision of a razor-wielding barber, bounding on to the front of the green.

Back to Tiger... he's on the path and has a shot. And he's nailed it! On the green and another sniff of a birdie...

  11. Splash!published at 17:26 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Poulter -9 (11)

    Ian Poulter.

    Follows Brooks.

    Club short.

    12th hole.

    Wet.

  12. The water ball...published at 17:24 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Koepka -11 (11)

Right, I'll get to the fact Bubba Watson has an eagle look in a second, first though to 12 and that wet ball for Brooks Koepka.

He kind of did a Spieth, leaving it half a club short to hit the slope before the green and drop into the drink. He looks disgusted, as you would be.

There's a shot going, which will leave just Tiger pursuing Molinari. Several of them stumble, Frankie trundles on...

  13. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

American golf writer Alex Miceli on BBC Radio 5 Live:

"Tiger aimed left thinking he could pull it back into the fairway.

As a person who has watched him for 25 years we've always wondered why he didn't play with a three wood all the time. He would have won a lot more.

    Molinari -13, Woods -11, Finau -10 (10)

Not for the first time. Tiger Woods has been driving erratically. The 14-time major winner sprays his tee shot on the 11th right - could he get away with another one?

His driving accuracy is down at 62.50% today, but he's still had a shot every time he's missed a fairway (if memory serves).

  15. Splash!published at 17:21 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Koepka -11 (11)

    Koepka.

    Drama.

    The 12th.

    Wet.

    Problems.

  16. Bogey for Poulterpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

    Koepka -11 (14) Schauffele -10 (12) Poulter -9 (11)

Xander Schauffele stands up on his putt on 12, he doesn't like it and it'll be par only. Ian Poulter meanwhile on 11, this is for par after his flirt with the trees. It breaks right to left and he hasn't hit it. The break takes it, the shot goes.

Brooks Koepka converts two putts from around 70ft for par. Momentum maintained.

Hello Amen corner and another tough hole.

Straightness off the tee is pretty much a must to leave a decent angle into the green.

With the drink on the left, bailing out to the right is a pretty sensible option here.

This hole is best known for Larry Mize's miraculous chip-in to defeat Greg Norman in a play-off in the 1987 Masters.

    Andrew Cotter
BBC Sport commentator at Augusta National

Francesco Molinari really is a different character today. It is all about leading the Masters and he is having to scramble hard.
