    B Koepka -12, Harold Varner III -5

How will Harold Varner III fare alongside Brooks Koepka?

Koepka has been destroying playing partners at a rate of knots this week but Varner is one of the longer drivers on the PGA Tour.

Does he have the muscle to keep Koepka in check? His record at major championships is sketchy to say the least. His best effort so far is finishing tied for 66th at the Open in 2016.

  2. Double double, Tommy's in troublepublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    T Fleetwood +5 (8)

From bad to worse for Tommy Fleetwood.

Bogey on two, double bogey on three and now another double bogey on the sixth. Mmmm. He's five over now.

At least his hair looks nice in the breeze.

  3. Nervy startpublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    J Janewattananond -4, L List -5 (1)

Are we seeing some nerves from Jazz Janewattananond? Playing a final round at a major for the first time is probably a steep learning curve.

He starts the day with a bogey after three-putting on the first.

    B Koepka -12, Harold Varner III -5

‘Give it some welly’ is not exactly a line you need to take with Brooks Koepka.

He’s been bludgeoning balls off the tee, from the rough, from pretty much anywhere all week.

And he’s just smashed another zinger down the first. His playing partner Harold Varner III also looks in decent shape.

    P Cantlay -3, A Scott -2 (3)

American Patrick Cantlay, playing with Aussie Adam Scott, has nudged himself up the leaderboard with a birdie on the first. But a bogey on the third has knocked him back down to three under.

Scott has a solitary bogey on the second to slip back to two under.

A severe dogleg right where a more aggressive tee shot requires great precision with both distance control and angle. The putting green, sloped at the front, is very narrow.

And just imagine teeing off in front of that lot! No thanks.

So close... Jazz Janewattananond has the right line with his birdie putt on the first, but it just comes up short.

  9. Birdie for Wallacepublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    M Wallace -5, X Schauffele -3 (2)

A great start for Matt Wallace. He holes a 20ft putt for birdie and is now tied for second.

Jazz Janewattananond's second shot on the first runs a little long but stops on the back of the green. A birdie could be a big ask though.

Brooks Koepka has been awesome this week hasn't he?

And he is just 18 holes away from completing a wire-to-wire PGA Championship victory to claim his fourth major title.

He has the largest lead entering the final round in tournament history and is in line to regain the world number one ranking he lost in January.

If he can hold it together today the 29-year-old American, would also become the US PGA's fifth wire-to-wire winner after Hal Sutton in 1983, Ray Floyd in 1982, Jack Nicklaus in 1971 and Bobby Nichols in 1964.

Pretty decent company to be keeping.

    R Fowler +2

There are some big numbers going up at the minute as the wind picks up.

Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell reached the turn in 33 and started the back nine with a birdie on 10 before ending the day at level par to finish five over.

American Bronson Burgoon carded a hat-trick of birdies from the third but is now four over after collecting a pair of doubles on the back nine.

While Rickie Fowler, is having one at the minute with bogeys at the first three holes to drop back to two over par.

  13. Steady Spiethpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Spieth -3, Van Rooyen -1 (3)

Jordan Spieth made a very unorthodox start to his round with a hooked drive down the first. We've all done it!

But he recovered to make par, and has also parred the second and third holes since. Not so good for playing partner Erik van Rooyen, from South Africa.

He's dropped a shot on the second.

    J Janewattananond -5, L List -5

Jazz Janewattananond steps up for his first ever Sunday tee shot at a major. And he's tied for second. Not a bad moment for the 23-year-old.

It's a decent drive too, straight over the trees and onto the right fairway.

Luke List goes a tad left and is into the rough.

    M Wallace -4, X Schauffele -3 (1)

Big opportunity missed for Matt Wallace early on. He misses a 6ft putt for birdie on the first. That will be just a par.

There are a few good Jazz Janewattananond facts doing the rounds, but this is our favourite so far.

  17. Lowry making a movepublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

Bit of a breeze whipping around Bethpage Black Course today, and a few more clouds, which might explain why there is no-one better than two under for their rounds so far.

Ireland's Shane Lowry is one of them, after birdies on four and seven. That's moved him to level par.

2016 Masters champion Danny Willett made a nice start with a birdie on the second, but he's bogeyed the third to move back to level par. He's level par overall too.

A great start for England's Matt Wallace on the first. His second shot lands on the back of the green and he could have an early birdie chance.

Jazz Janewattananond is one of the many chasing Brooks Koepka.

The Thai 23-year-old has been a hit at Bethpage this weekend - and so has his caddie.

"He's brought so many fans around," Janewattananond told Golf Digest. "Maybe that's part of the reason why New York loves me. Must be the caddie."

"Somebody must have told somebody, 'cuz I sure don't know that many people," Miller added.
