    It was Mark Walsh on board the winner. He only got the ride after Paul Townend switched to Max Dynamite in the wake of Ruby Walsh's injury.

    Davy Russell on his victory: "I took a chance and a punt. I wanted to go on the inside. Ruby had the box seat on the inside so I took the chance to follow him and it paid off. Sometimes you're a fool and sometimes you're a hero but it worked out today. I can't do those things without the support of the owner and the trainer."

    He is off to Cheltenham General for an X-ray. Walsh, you probably remember, is only a few races into his return from a broken leg.
