Seven to jump... all 23 are still running... round the corner and back towards the stand for the first time.

Sykes and Connetable are still heading the field... Little change in the order from the start to be honest. Cagey.

Is Louis' Vac Pouch some pun on Louis Van Gaal that I'm not getting? I'm as perplexed as the Manchester United fans who had to watch the Dutchman's tactics...

Next on the list? The Handicap Hurdle.

This is one for the younger horses, with no horse older than eight winning in the past six years.

Seven-year-old Glenloe, trained by Gordon Elliott and ridden by Barry Geraghty, is leading the market.

The past four horses to win have all been six, with Forza Milan and the terribly-named Louis' Vac Pouch the leading candidates in that age group.

It's fair to say there's been some big money chucked the bookmakers' way this week. The smart cash today seems to be being lumped on Sam Spinner in the feature race at 15:30 GMT. Oddschecker report, external that one man in Cheshire has staked £2,500 on the horse at odds of 7-2, with another male punter in Kent putting a £1,250 each-way bet on Augusta Kate at 33-1...

The statue of triple Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Best Mate is a popular spot to take photographs.

I bumped into students Maddie Evans, 21; Emma Bryan, 20; and Tamsin Warr, 24. They all attend Harper Adams University in Shropshire, and will be cheering on one particular horse in the final race (17:30) - Band Of Blood.

"I went to school with the trainer Richard Newland's daughter Annie so hopefully we'll be celebrating later," said Maddie.

You never know - Newland is no stranger to success, having won the 2014 Grand National with Pineau De Re.

Gordon Elliott has got Glendoe, the 7-2 favourite, in the next race - the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle.

My money has got to go on Thomas Campbell. I know nothing about Nicky Henderson's horse, only that it is out a 25-1 but ridden by Mr J Bowen. Got to be some sort of omen.

    Super, smashing, great.

Shattered Love and Jack Kennedy are given a rousing reception as they trot back to the winners' enclosure. A popular winner it seems. Especially for those who popped a tenner on her..

Here's trainer Gordon Elliott, speaking to ITV Sport... but not for long...

"It was brilliant - oh, I've got to go for a photo... She's a very good mare so we're delighted..." he says before sprinting off to pose for the flashbulb lights.

After a blank on day one, it's fair to say trainer Gordon Elliott is firing now.

Shattered Love was his fourth Festival winner from the last eight races at the 2018 meeting.

And it was a third victory for jockey Jack Kennedy. Not bad for an 18-year-old.

Winning jockey Jack Kennedy points one finger to the Cheltenham crowd in celebration - he's only 18! I was still stacking shelves in a Bradford-based supermarket. He's riding winners at Cheltenham. Wow.
