Frankie Dettori has been speaking about his experience at this unique Royal Ascot:
"For the first race it was very hard to pick myself up. When I arrive I'm usually signing autographs, people are shouting my name, slapping me on the back but I needed two or three espressos to get myself going.
"Now the adrenaline is pumping and it's nice to get a win on the board.
"And we are racing and the racing is magnificent. Of course we miss the crowd but we are providing a good show for all those at home."

16:10 Duke of Cambridge Stakes- Jubiloso 5-2
Sir Michael Stoute ran Jubiloso in the Group One Coronation Stakes last year and she was third behind Watch Me. This is a Group Two, the trainer is great at progressing horses and she won first time out in 2019.

Battaash is world class. He's growing up, he's one of those terrible teenagers that took an age to grow up. It's taken a lot of work to knock off the rough edges.
But he will have to deal with the crowds when they do come back on the courses.
King's Stand Stakes
Winning jockey Jim Crowley: "He was fresh and when he hit the gates I was a passenger trying to keep him with some in store for the finish.
"He is showing no signs of slowing down. He would like to have a tow into the final furlong but it is hard to find anyone to lead him out!"
King's Stand Stakes
Winning groom Bob Grace: "When he is on his A game, he is hard to beat and now at last we have finally done it."

Battaash was dancing in the stalls and he took about a length off the others coming out. He has lasted so well, all that energy conserved in the paddock has come to fruition and it's worked perfectly for him.
He has such a high cruising speed.
King's Stand Stakes
1 Battaash (Jim Crowley) 5-6 Fav2 Equilateral (James Doyle) 9-13 Liberty Beach (Jason Hart) 4-1
King's Stand Stakes
The others were left choking on fumes, a commanding performance to claim his first Royal Ascot victory from Battaash.

Battaash is going to try and do this front to back...

Battaash is the fastest horse in the world - sometimea called the Usain Bolt of the sport - but he has never won at Royal Ascot.
King's Stand Stakes
Battaash is last into the stalls and gets a good start, sharing the leadership duties.

Battaash can sometimes get very excited in races but with nobody here today he looks 100% calm and composed ahead of his big moment.
King's Stand Stakes
Battaash is on his way down to the stalls and looking sparky and ready to go. Jockey Jim Crowley is in place and ready to rev those rocket boosters.
15:35 King's Stand Stakes
Approximate odds
10-11 Battaash, 4-1 Liberty Beach, 9-2 Glass Slippers, 14-1 Bar.
15:35 BST King's Stand Stakes (5f)
Battaash is the name to beat here.
He has finished second in the last two King's Stand Stakes, behind Blue Point on each occasion. Two Group One victories so far to his name, this for the hat-trick.
Without Blue Point in the field, Glass Slippers, who beat Battaash handily in the Prix de l'Abbaye last year, is the main challenger.
Look out for Equilateral, who, like Battaash, is trained by Charlie Hills. This is his first outing since racing's return.

The lack of a big crowd could suit Battaash, odds-on favourite for the King's Stand Stakes, one of eight top-level Group One races at the meeting which are part of the Qipco British Champions Series.
"I think it will be a positive as it should help him in the preliminaries. The first year he ran at York, he was close to the crowd and he boiled over," Crowley told me.
A quieter atmosphere could help the horse settle, and Blue Point - who beat him into second twice at Royal Ascot - is not around this time.
"When Battaash does win, it's explosive. He's put in some monster performances. If he's on his A game, nothing can beat him, " said Crowley.
King Edward VII Stakes
Winning jockey Martin Dwyer: "I hope he can win the Derby, he has got a progressive profile and a good turn of foot. He is not finished yet. I don't get the rides I used to, so when you get them you have to take advantage."
King Edward VII Stakes
Winning trainer William Muir: "This is only the start of him. There is plenty more to come. I am not going to say that he won't go to the Derby. We are working at a different level to some trainers."

15:35 King's Stand Stakes - Glass Slippers 9-2
I'm going to oppose the hot favourite Battaash with Glass Slippers, who was progressive throughout last season and won the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp. She's gets the 3lb allowance for filllies and is versatile as regards the ground.
