That was coolness personified from Tom Cannon. Let's not underestimate the confidence that that took because the horse was so agile to get round Brave Seasca when he fell.

That is the way to ride a favourite.

"It is great. All boats rise on a high tide and I am lucky I am one of those boats."

Edwardstone is a massively underrated horse. If he was with a bigger jumpers' trainer. he'd be shorter. It's hard not to see him bang in the running for this.

Gabynako, for me, is a good EW bet. If they go at a fast pace, which it looks like they will, the race might fall apart and he'll be there or thereabouts to pick up the pieces. He's been supplemented for this race and that would interest me.

The track is clear now so hopefully not long before the Arkle gets under way.

There's a slight delay to the start of this race after Shallwehaveonemore was being attended to after a fall in the first race.

    Hopefully Shallwehaveonemore will be OK.

Gavin Cromwell, trainer of Gabynako, speaking to ITV: "He jumps very quick.

"If he can stay in the race for the first half of it he will come home well."

Riviere D'etel and Blue Lord are positives in the parade ring - both of those look really relaxed. I'm delighted to see how low Riviere is carrying his head.

Magic Daze is threatening to bubble over a little bit.
