    Fabian Edwards then rounded off the evening by claiming a dominant win over former two-time middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi.

    The 30-year-old Briton is now one win from emulating his older brother Leon by becoming an MMA world champion.

    Middleweight champion Johnny Eblen then said: “I thought it was a pretty good performance. But I’m a much better fighter. It's my belt.”

    So that's one for the diary folks... Bellator was only in Ireland in February but they'll be making a swift return to Dublin's 3Arena for Eblen-Edwards. Bring it on!!

    Worth noting, UK has only ever had one Bellator champion in the promotion's history.

    That was Liam McGeary way back in 2015. Michael 'Venom' Page had the chance to become UK's first interim champion on home soil last year, but failed.

    It's now Edwards' turn to try to write his name into the history books.

    After doing his post-fight interview, current middleweight champion Johnny Eblen steps into the cage and faces off with the victor Fabian Edwards.

    "That's my belt," Edwards tells the American.

    It then gets a little heated, which sets things up nicely as it's then confirmed that Edwards will indeed face Eblen for the Bellator middleweight title - in Dublin on Saturday, 23 September.
