    Primus v Barnaoui

Mansour Barnaoui looks absolutely exhausted as Brent Primus tries again to force a submission.

There is a column of fans all on their feet passionately backing Masour Barnaoui throughout this fight.

I've seen flares go off, one of them has a megaphone in hand, and I have also seen (and heard) a drum and airhorn.

    It's incredibly lively in here.

Fabian Edwards and Gegard Mousasi met face-to-face on Friday after the pair weighed in for their middleweight main event.

Edwards said a few words to Mousasi, who appeared unfazed, before the pair exchanged some friendly chat and shook hands.

Tonight's fight will be Mousasi's 60th professional bout so his relaxed nature comes as no surprise - he's seen it all before.

Brent Primus and Mansour Barnaoui set a high tempo in that first round. Primus knocked Barnaoui's mouthpiece out at one point, and the Frenchman didn't retrieve it till he headed back to his corner at the end of the round.

This really does feel like a main event. If they can keep this up this will be quite the fight.

“It was a night and day difference. I wasn’t able to put a lot of weight back on, but I felt amazing. I feel good. My whole team gave me the energy I needed, all the support I needed. France man, it’s a pleasure being here.”

  16. The champ is here!published at 22:12 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Speaking of Johnny Eblen, the middleweight champion is in Paris to watch the top contenders of his division go toe-to-toe.

The American is nicknamed the 'human cheat code' for his ability to perform in every area of MMA and outclass his opponents. He shocked the world when he beat Gegard Mousasi last June, somehow making the beating of a legend look easy.

We're anticipating a face-off in the cage with the winner of Mousasi v Edwards tonight. Surely Eblen wouldn't come all this way and then deprive us of a face-off? Surely?

You can relive Eblen's crowning moment below.

  18. Strikeforce representing in Bellatorpublished at 22:07 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

Bellator champion and MMA legend Cris Cyborg has just reminded us on Twitter that her and Gegard Mousasi are the only two fighters to win Strikeforce and Bellator world titles.

Who remembers Strikeforce? It was Scott Coker's original MMA promotion. A host of greats fought for the promotion like Ronda Rousey, Nick Diaz, Daniel Cormier - the list goes on.

Mousasi won the light heavyweight title in 2009 with Cyborg having her title triumph in the same year. We've dug up some pictures of the fresh-faced legends.

If you're any good at math, why don't you tell us how old they were?

  19. I think I should be ready - Mousasipublished at 22:04 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Mousasi v Edwards

Gegard Mousasi on his preparation for facing Fabian Edwards: “I've focused on wrestling and stand-up. [Team-mate and former Edwards opponent Costello van Steenis] warned me about the danger of his left hand, how he’s able to strike from a distance when you think you’re not in danger. We’ll see how the fight goes. Costello was actually injured in that fight, so I think I should be ready.”

On whether Edwards or Eblen is a tougher fight: “You never know if it’s going to be an easy fight. A lot can change in 11 months. I think Johnny Eblen is a better fighter [than Edwards], but everyone has different weapons. I don’t know if it’s going to be easier, but I think Johnny Eblen is better.”
