  9. Driver of the day contenderspublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 29 February 2020

It was an impressive drive for Jean-Eric Vergne from P11 to P3, especially after getting in the car today feeling under the weather and losing out on track time this weekend.

And it's no P2, but it's still a double podium and a haul of points for the team.

And you can't look past Mitch Evans who fought from from P24 to P6. The team have finally found some pace.

Second placed Max Gunther says: "I was fighting against the Techeetah cars, it was exciting we knew we could manage it with the energy and to make the move with two corners to go for P2 was a good feeling.

"It was impressive what [JEV] did, the recovery that he did during the race and we had the energy advantage compared to him and that's what we used in the last stage of the race."

  13. 'I had to play a brave card'published at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 29 February 2020

Some more words from the race winner. He says: "I mean I had to play a brave card I had to let Max get super close there and I had to force him to use his energy and in the second attack mode. I was controlling Andre (Lotterer) and it worked out perfectly.

"We had a good plan in mind and amazing preparation and we do a lot of hard work and it pays off.

"For JEV - hats off he had a tough tough week, he had a hard day and he pulled a podium for the team so well done."

Antonio Felix da Costa winspublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 29 February 2020

    That was very close!

As Da Costa, Vergne and Gunther's batteries dropped below 1% it was unclear who would actually take the race win since drivers must finish with above 0%.

Gunther overtook Vergne on the straight before the final corner, leaving the German to take P2 and the two-time world champion dropping to P3.
