  3. Fermanagh 'couldn't match Monaghan intensity' - McGrathpublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 20 May 2017

    Quote Message

In the first half we produced a fantastic effort but we did expend an enormous amount of energy. We needed to get a couple of quick scores to get us up and running at the start of the second half but that didn't happen. Monaghan brought an intensity, pace and physicality to the second half which we weren't able to match.

  4. Sub Duffy named man of the matchpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 20 May 2017

Monaghan's Owen Duffy wins the man-of-the-match honour even though he was only introduced early in the second half. But it's difficult to argue with the choice. He scored three points and helped drive on the Farney men in the second half.

  5. O'Rourke pleased with Monaghan's second halfpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 20 May 2017

    Quote Message

It took us a long time to get going. We just weren't getting to the pitch of the game in the first half. We were a lot better in the second half although Fermanagh did fall away. Owen Duffy made a big difference when he came on with his energy and running.
