Well folks....a thrilling day's racing has come to a conclusion.

Peter Hickman's treble has to make him the man of the day despite his dramatic blown engine in the concluding Superbike race as Dean Harrison took a somewhat controversial victory.

Hickman opened the meeting with Superstock and Supersport victories and after being denied by the evergreen Bruce Anstey in a superb blue riband Superbike race, then took another Supersport win.

After dominating practice, the 30-year-old Lincolnshire man well and truly delivered on race day as well.

But the entire programme produced thrilling racing with Ivan Lintin producing an amazing last-ditch move to pip Dan Cooper in the Supertwins race and local Northern Ireland honour being upheld by Davy Morgan and Paul Robinson who took the victories in the lightweight/ultralightweight classes.

Dan Kneen is trying to be diplomatic after being denied victory by Dean Harrison in that remarkable race but reading between the lines, he is not happy.

"I thought I covered the line but he just crashed into me really," says the Isle of Man rider.

"If I was in that position, I would have given way. That was a bit hairy."

Not surprisingly, Harrison has a different take on the closing stages.

"It was getting a bit sketchy out there and I am over the moon to get the win.

"There was a bit of rubbing and elbow bashing out there but we're all back in the winners' enclosure in one piece," says Harrison.

Dean Harrison clinches an incredible first Ulster Grand Prix triumph after a dramatic battle with Dan Kneen and Conor Cummins on the final lap.

Kneen looks shattered as Harrison somewhat finds a late gap take victory.

The riders saved the best for last there. That was an astonishing final lap.

Isle of Man riders Kneen and Cummins appear to get in each other's way early on the last lap which allows Harrison to regain the lead.

Dan Kneen produces a superb move out of Wheelers to move into the lead after four laps. Plenty more can happen in this race mind. Harrison now second, Cummins third with Dunlop still in fourth.

Dean Harrison remains in the lead as he heads Conor Cummings by 0.40 seconds after lap three. Dan Kneen and Michael Dunlop are still well in touch with Derek Sheils some way off the pace in fifth spot.

After Hickman's exit, Dean Harrison leads from Dan Kneen after lap two with Conor Cummings third and Michael Dunlop fourth.

Dunlop hasn't had a podium yet today but he is not far behind Harrison here.

Anstey is out before the end of the first lap and Hickman's four-timer hopes evaporate in an instant as a large puff of smoke comes out of his blown engine early on lap two.

Inevitably, that man Hickman is the early leader. Dan Kneen is second as they reach the windmill on lap one with Harrinson, Cummins, Michael Dunlop and Bruce Anstey also in the top six in a tight battle.

The final race of the day is under way at Dundrod as the big Superbikes roar into action again.

Can Hickman reverse those placings and complete a four-timer?

Two-hundredths of a second is Lintin's winning margin in the thrilling Supertwins finish.

"It did unfold nicely for me there," says Lintin, 32, matter-of-factly.

"That might have been harder with one of the bigger bikes but these little things are quite nimble. It was good fun."

Cooper, understandably, appears downbeat after losing the race in the final yards.

"I knew I had to get ahead of him earlier because he was faster on that final bit," added Cooper.

Dan Cooper appears to have snatched victory after moving ahead of Lintin late on the final lap but the Supertwins specialist produces an incredible last-gasp pass to win by inches.

Certainly the most dramatic finish of the day and perhaps for many a year at the meeting.

The race had been pedestrian for the most part before that remarkable conclusion as Lintin clinches his third Ulster Grand Prix Supertwins win.

Ulsterman Adam McLean completes the podium places while Maria Costello is also in the top 10.

Lintin responds by producing the first Supertwins lap over 120mph at Dundrod to increase his advantage to 0.70 seconds after lap three. With Cowton dropping back to sixth spot, Northern Irish rider Adam McLean is now in third spot ahead of Christian Elkin and Derek Sheils.

With James Cowton dropping back, Dan Cooper sets a new lap record of 119.80mph as he cuts Ivan Lintin's lead to half a second after two laps. Cowton is now a distant third.

Lintin, who is from that motorcycling hotbed of Lincolnshire, didn't make the greatest of starts but has moved into the lead ahead of James Cowton and Dan Cooper at the end of the opening lap. This is a five-lapper.

The penultimate Supertwins race is under way.

Supertwins specialist Ivan Lintin was the pole setter and probably goes in as favourite after two previous wins in the class at the meeting.

Peter Hickman earns his third win of the day as he holds off Bruce Anstey and Lee Johnston after a sensational final lap in the Supersport Race 2.

Fermanagh man Johnston attempts a couple of incredible late passing manoeuvres but Hickman holds his nerve to complete a sensational win as he finishes 0.30 seconds ahead of Anstey.

It's Hickman's second Supersport win of the day after his opening Superstock success.

Another astonishing race with Michael Dunlop having to be content with fourth spot.

Hickman regains the lead just before the end of the final lap but then has to fend off a strong challenge from Lee Johnston to remain ahead late on the final lap. Bruce Anstey is still in with a chance of victory as well.

Superbike winner Anstey takes the lead after passing leader Hickman early on the penultimate lap. Lee Johnston is up to third with Michael Dunlop now fourth. The top four remain in close proximity.

Peter Hickman remains half a second ahead of Michael Dunlop as they complete lap two after the restart.

Bruce Anstey and Lee Johnston, both riding Padgetts bikes, are both close by in third and fourth.

Dunlop has not earned an Ulster Grand Prix win since his Superstock success in 2013.
