  1. Quigley makes his presence feltpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-07 Donegal 2-08

Seamus Quigley's introduction has an almost immediate impact. The forward finds a few yards of space out on the left and swings over Fermanagh's best score of the day.

Seconds later, his brother Sean drops a high, hanging ball in on top of Donegal keeper Shaun Patton and Seamus nearly gets a fist on it. That's a tactic we're likely to see again today.

  2. Disallowed goalpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-06 Donegal 2-08

Paddy McGrath has the ball in the back of the net, but he was inside the square as the ball was played in from jamie Brennan so it is disallowed. that would have been game over.

  3. Quigley wasting little timepublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-06 Donegal 2-08

Seamus Quigley is on as Rory Gallagher throws caution to the wind and he has his first point from the left.

Then there is some goalmouth action as Eoin Donnelly hoists a long range effort high into the Clones sky and it drops short. Shaun Patton has the sun in his eyes so can only palm it away, a melee ensues and eventually a free out is given.

  4. McBrearty offpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-05 Donegal 2-08

Paul Brennan gets his second of the day and Donegal extend their lead. Worryingly though Paddy McBrearty is back down again holding the left foot that he hurt in the first half. He can't continue and is coming off, but he is walking so hopefully nothing too serious.

Dara O Baoill comes on in his place.

  5. Back underwaypublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-05 Donegal 2-07

Eight points the difference as we resume play. If this is to be a contest, Fermanagh will need to come flying out of the traps.

Donegal are impressive and it's hard to see any way back for Fermanagh. Donegal will be one of the teams who are going to try and put it up to Dublin over the next few months. It's early days to say what impression they will make in the Super 8s but their squad runs deep. They have plenty of strength in depth.

You would expect that Donegal have this game in the bag. They are showing that they are a serious outfit looking ahead to the rest of the season and they have lots more talent to come off the bench. In my opinion the game is well and truly over and it's now a question of how big the winning margin will be.

  8. Total disciplinepublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-05 Donegal 2-07

    Cian Murtagh
BBC Sport NI at St Tiernach's Park

‘Total discipline’ was the shout by Fermanagh assistant coach Ryan McMenamin at one point during that opening half but the Ernesiders are struggling to cope with Donegal’s myriad of attacking weapons and they have been forced into conceding fouls all too often.

Corner-back Michael Jones paid the price just before half-time for a foul on Ryan McHugh and Michael Murphy doubled the punishment by stroking over the free.

It may only be an eight-point difference at the break, but it feels like a lot more than that and Fermanagh will need to score more than they did against Monaghan if they are to turn this Ulster final around.

  9. Half-Timepublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-05 Donegal 2-07

Donegal in control at Clones. They've been able to register scores against a side that have prided themselves in their ability to keep the score down.

They set out to keep Michael Murphy and Paddy McBrearty quiet, but Donegal have too many good players behind those two for that tactic to be totally effective. McHugh the star man by a distance so far.

Fermanagh with it all to do.

  10. Jones black cardedpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-05 Donegal 2-07

Ryan McHugh is causing havoc. He breaks free of a challenge, gives it to Leo McLoone and sets about looking for a return. Michael Jones halts his progress and is black carded.

Murphy adds the final point of the half from the free.

  12. McBrearty hurtpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-05 Donegal 2-06

First back to back scores of the day for the Ernemen with just a few minutes until half time. Quigley gets another before Ciaran Corrigan swings one over the black spot.

McBrearty gets his first point of the day but it comes at a cost as he is clattered in the process of taking the shot, he's down and receiving treatment.

  13. One way trafficpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-03 Donegal 2-05

    Cian Murtagh
BBC Sport NI at St Tiernach's Park

Until Eoin Donnelly’s superb score, Fermanagh’s only points have come from a pair of Sean Quigley frees but of greater concern for Rory Gallagher at the moment is that they are struggling to get out of their own half.

Donegal’s midfield is on top and the pace of Ryan McHugh is terrifying the Fermanagh defenders.

The wing-back has now scored one goal and set up the other for Donegal. Fermanagh hadn’t conceded a single goal in this year’s championship until now.

  14. GOALpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-03 Donegal 2-05

Eoin Donnelly points before Ryan McHugh turns from provider to goalscorer.

It's a wonderful solo effort, slaloming in and out of three defenders on the right before smashing it past Patrick Cadden.

The Kilcar man looks in the mood today.

  15. Donegal runners making the differencepublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-03 Donegal 1-05

    Cian Murtagh
BBC Sport NI at St Tiernach's Park

Both sides are dropping deep when they lose possession with all 15 players routinely funnelling back behind their own 45m line.

Fermanagh full-back Che Cullen is following Michael Murphy everywhere – he may even try to follow him into the Donegal dressing room at half-time.

But Fermanagh can’t deal with the pace of Donegal’s runners. Ryan McHugh’s blistering speed turned a well-fielded kick out into a stunning goal for Eoghan Ban Gallagher.

  17. Donegal defenders damaging Fermanaghpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-02 Donegal 1-05

Quigley with his second free of the day and Fermanagh really needed that one at they cut the gap to five. But not for long, Paul Brennan restores Donegal's advantage from range.

Lots of Donegal scores coming from defenders, is this how they're going to deal with Fermanagh's ultra-defensive system? it's working so far.

  18. Murphy on the boardpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-01 Donegal 1-04

Kane Connor goes in the book for a foul on McHugh which allows Michael Murphy to notch his first point. Kicking from outside the 45, off the ground and it goes over with plenty to spare.

  19. Accuracy the difference so farpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-01 Donegal 1-03

Ban Gallagher is now getting forward at every opportunity and he points after Donegal secure a turnover off Eoin Donnelly.

Fermanagh are trying to take long distance points but the accuracy just isn't there as the moment - it's another wide and they're still looking to add to that opening point.

  20. Donegal warming uppublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Fermanagh 0-01 Donegal 1-02

After a slow start Donegal are starting to show signs that they are warming up. It's a promising sign for them when their corner-back is in the square to provide the finishing touch to a goal.

McBrearty has a free, and four Fermanagh men stand right in front of them with their hands up to put him off. It works, McBrearty goes wide.
