Quote MessageBased on playing the Ulster final four weeks ago, this was not a bad game for Derry to play. They were able to blow the cobwebs away and plenty of players got experience of playing at Croke Park. The one concern with Derry is the squad depth and whether Rory trusts players. They do know that in a fortnight's time it will be a severe test, there will not be a mis-match then.

Quote MessageDerry were nine up at half-time and ran out 14-point winners. Derry are now into the last four. If Armagh or Galway had beaten Clare by that many points, people would be labelling them All-Ireland finalists.

Quote MessageWithout being patronising, it was men against boys. Derry got on top early and they were only playing at about 60 or 70%. There is plenty more to come from this team. If they can all click at the same time they stand a really good chance of getting into an All-Ireland final.

Whisper it quietly...Derry are one game away from an All-Ireland final.

Quote MessageIt's been said many times before but goals win games and Derry have been very clinical, particularly in the first half. It is something Derry have been good at for some time now, and long may that continue.

It's Derry's day in Dublin!
Derry 5-13 Clare 2-7
Three minutes of additional time for Derry to enjoy their afternoon in the sun.

Shane McGuigan gets a standing ovation as he is replaced in the closing stages.
Clare couldn't get near him.
Derry 5-13 Clare 2-7
Brendan Rogers would give Lewis Hamilton a run for his money when he's at full throttle. Another interception, another surging run.
The man is relentless. It's the 67th minute.
Derry 5-13 Clare 2-7
Derry 5-13 Clare 2-7
Make that 1-8 for McGuigan. He had miles of space but settles for a point.
Derry 5-12 Clare 2-7
There's another from McGuigan. That's 1-7, which isn't a bad afternoon's work.

Quote MessageFor me it has been a toss-up between Shane McGuigan and Conor Glass for the man of the match. Both of them have been brilliant. One of the big things in Derry's revival and the progress they have made has been Conor Glass coming back from Australia.
Derry 5-11 Clare 2-7
McGuigan nearly dinks home Derry's sixth goal. It was a poor kick out and the forward tries to chip the ball over O'Callaghan but it bounces wide.
That's a man full of confidence.
Derry 5-11 Clare 2-7
Shane McGuigan does it again after a mazy run by Brendan Rogers.
Derry 5-10 Clare 2-7
Can Derry fans get the party started early? Ten minutes to go at Croke Park!

Clare pull another one back through Eoin Cleary.
