What a start to the game!

Gareth McKinless fired Derry in front and seconds later, Kerry's Gavin White fires back.

Conor McCluskey charges forward and finds Shane McGuigan, who shrugs off Jason Foley and fires over his second point.

The Slaughtneil club-man is looking good so far, but so is David Clifford - a towering effort after emerging from Chrissy McKaigue's shadow and Kerry are level again.

I think after the first 10 minutes you're now starting to see the tactics of both teams.

Kerry are finding it hard to break Derry down and Derry are getting more space.

Derry are finding it much easier to score because of numbers.

Paudie Clifford levels the score with a well-judged looping effort from the left.

There's nothing wrong with that one from Diarmuid O'Connor - who was outstanding against Tyrone - as he knocks a beauty over from well out.

It really does show you how big this pitch is at Croke Park and it doesn't matter how defensively strong you are, once the ball is moved quickly it's very hard to get into shape.

Bad news for Derry as Padraig McGrogan's day is done.

He went down after scoring that point and can't continue. Padraig Cassidy replaces him.

So, with Padraig McGrogan down injured, a chance for a quick recap.

Derry's goal came after Brendan Rogers' shot was blocked, with McKinless on hand to bundle the ball home.

But Kerry stormed right up the other end and Seanie O'Shea teed up an easy reply for White.
