On a frustrating night for the six-time All-Ireland winners, Cross captain Jamie Clarke was sent off late on for an apparent strike on Sean O'Donnell.

Jack Doherty with the opener for the Derry champions.
Pairc Esler, 15:15 GMT
Kilcoo looked like......well Kilcoo when they comfortably accounted for Derrygonnelly in last weekend's Ulster Club Championship opener at Enniskillen.
No matter what is thrown at the Down champions, whether it's refereeing controversies, regular changes of managers or whatever, they invariably seem to have the answer on most occasions.
And having that little bit of a siege mentality almost seems to work for them.
Scotstown, meanwhile, clinched their eighth Monaghan title in 11 seasons as Jack McCarron's six points helped them hold off Inniskeen on a 0-17 to 0-14 scoreline in the decider.
McCarron is in his first season of action for Scotstown after his transfer from Currin last winter.
He is by no means the only Monaghan star in the Scotstown line-up today Conor McCarthy, Darren Hughes, Shane Carey and Ryan O'Toole also in their scheduled starting team today and Kieran Hughes on the bench.
But it's hard to back against Kilcoo.
Glen v Cargin (15:00 GMT)
Michael McCann is thrilled to be back playing for Cargin after groin and hernia injuries seemed certain to end his football career.
Celtic Park, 15:00 GMT
Glen defeated Cargin on the way to winning to the Ulster Club title last year but the five-point semi-final winning margin somewhat flattered them with Danny Tallon netting the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in injury-time.
These clubs are almost neighbours with only a 12-mile distance between Maghera and Toomebridge. In addition, with Cargin boss Ronan Devlin a proud Derryman, he knows all about this Glen team.
Cargin needed the second-half introductions of veteran Michael McCann and Pat Shivers to fully get to grips with Dunloy in the Antrim Final as they clinched a seventh title in nine years.
Both men are down to start today which has to be a signal of intent from Devlin.
Glen, meanwhile, won a third successive Derry title as they took complete control in the second half against a highly-rated Magherafelt side.
Malachy O'Rourke's side will go in as solid favourites but the men of Cargin are doughty fighters so this one could again be tight.
Glen v Cargin (15:00 GMT)
Cargin boss Ronan Devlin says 18-year-old forward talent Conhuir Johnston remains "seriously level-headed" despite being earmarked for GAA stardom from his early teenage years.
"He doesn't get it all his own way, but the lad is level-headed and he works hard. He puts a serious shift in. He's so modest but a damn good player," said Devlin.
