Once you interfere with the foot or the leg, especially after losing the ball, it is a black card all day long unfortunately. It will be interesting to see how Kildare deal with this 14-man situation.

Armagh and Down also in action

We'll also keep you up to date with how Armagh and Down are getting on this evening, with tonight's three featured games conveniently all throwing in at 18:00 GMT.

Armagh had to work hard to scratch out an opening 0-12 to 0-11 Division Two win over Louth, with Sam Mulroy missing a last-kick 45 which would have snatched a draw for Ger Brennan's side.

As mentioned earlier, Colm O'Rourke's team hit three late points to draw at home against Fermanagh so the formbook suggests that Kieran McGeeney's men should be good enough to win tonight.

However, while Meath football has slipped back considerably from the glory days of the 1980s and 1990s, the current crop is capable of producing a little panache as they showed in the Tailteann Cup Final win over Down last July.

Mention of Down, they face Limerick in Division Three at Pairc Esler and anything another than a home win over a team well-beaten at home by Antrim last weekend will be a surprise.

We will have live text commentary of the two games.
