    FT: Down 4-12 Offaly 2-14

    And breathe!

After a helter-skelter second half, Down hold on for their fourth league win in as many games.

It certainly wasn't straightforward, and manager Conor Laverty will ask questions as to how Offaly created so many goal chances throughout the game.

Equally however, Down once again showed their blistering attack with four goals of their own, whilst Pat Havern remained Mr Reliable in front of the posts.

  3. Four minutes added onpublished at 70 mins

    Down 4-11 Offaly 2-12

Anton Sullivan has scored once more for Offaly, but it looks as though they will run out of time, with four minutes of added time allocated.

However, that might just be enough time for both sides to hit the net yet again!

  4. Red cardpublished at 69 mins

    Down 4-11 Offaly 2-11

Pat Havern has been superb and he nailed another big score for his side, as he shrugged aside his marker and curled over.

Offaly will finish the game with 14 men after John Furlong was shown a straight card after a collision with Danny Magill.

  5. Down lead by fivepublished at 66 mins

    Down 4-10 Offaly 2-11

Pat Havern has landed yet another free to settle down his side, before Danny Magill nearly added a fifth goal, but his shot was kept out by Ian Duffy.

  6. Offaly back to within touching distancepublished at 61 mins

    Down 4-9 Offaly 2-11

The madness of the goal glut seems to have calmed down, but Offaly simply aren't going away quietly here.

A Jack Bryant free and a point by Keith O'Neill has them within four points, with just under 10 minutes to go.

Can Down reassert themselves and see out their lead?

    Keith O'Neil (Offaly) 54 mins

The goals just keep on coming at Pairc Esler!

Offaly won't go down without a fight and have cut the deficit down to six with a point from Jack Bryant and a goal from Keith O'Neill.

Believe it or not, Down went down the other end and hit the net once again through Daniel Guinness... However, this time it was pulled back for overcarrying.

  8. goal

Goal Down 4-9 Offaly 1-8published at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Ryan Johnston (Down) 51 mins

This game is getting hard to keep up with!

We have a third goal in the space of four minutes. Down worked the ball well with Havern and Kerr both selflessly passing the ball on which eventually ended up in the hands of Ryan Johnston who finished from close range.

Can we say game over now? Maybe not with the hectic action at the minute!

  9. goal

Goal Down 3-9 Offaly 1-8published at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Jack Bryant (Offaly) 49 mins

Maybe it's not over just yet...

Offaly have come down the other end of the field and cut Down wide open with a goal from Jack Bryant.

The visitors then had yet another goal chance less than a minute later, but Cathal Flynn tried to be too precise and pulled his shot wide.

  10. goal

Goal Down 3-9 Offaly 0-8published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Liam Kerr (Down) 48 mins

That might just be game over!

Liam Kerr has added his second goal of the game and Down's third with an emphatic finish. From 13 metres out, he smashed his shot into the net off the underside of the bar.

Both sides have made two changes with Anthony Doherty and Jonny Flynn coming on for Ryan McEvoy and Caolan Mooney for Down. For Offaly, Cathal Flynn is in for Ruairi McNamee and Nathan Poland replaces Kevin McDermott.

  11. goal

Goal Down 2-9 Offaly 0-7published at 19:08 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Odhran Murdock (Down) 43 mins

Down are in the ascendancy now following their second goal of the game.

Odhran Murdock received possession to the right of the posts, and whilst most players may have gone for a fisted point from the tight angle, the young midfielder drilled his shot low and hard and into the far corner.

  12. Down push further aheadpublished at 39 mins

  15. Full-timepublished at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Tyrone 1-15 Mayo 1-11

    It's all over!

Tyrone have boosted their hopes of staying in Division One with a comeback win over Mayo.

They trailed by three at the break, but the home side's need was the greater and in Darren McCurry and Darragh Canavan, they had two proven match-winners.

McCurry only came on at half time and ended up with 0-8.

Canavan scored 1-4, so between the two of them they contributed 1-12 of Tyrone's 1-15 match-winning haul.

    Tyrone 1-15 Mayo 1-11

Rory Brickenden points for Mayo, but they need a goal.

  17. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Tyrone 1-15 Mayo 1-10

Bob Tuohy keeps Mayo in touch but it's frantic stuff now as Tyrone try to run down the clock.

  18. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Tyrone 1-15 Mayo 1-9

After the injury delay, McCurry points a difficult free, especially difficult for a left-footed kicker over on the left side. But in this form, it's no bother to him.

We are in the first of eight minutes of stoppage time to be added on.

  19. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Tyrone 1-14 Mayo 1-9

Lengthy injury stoppage here for Tyrone's Seanie O'Donnell who fell heavily after contesting a high ball.

Kieran McGeary is on for him, but the medics are rightly taking their time with O'Donnell who is about to be stretchered off.

That after Fergal Boland pointed another long-range score for Mayo.

  20. Half-timepublished at 18:39 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

    Down 1-7 Offaly 0-6

It's half-time here and after a closely fought first half, the four-point lead probably flatters Down a little bit, with Liam Kerr's early goal key.

At the other end, Offaly have had three goal chances of their own, but fired two of their shots over the bar and had another effort kept out by John O'Hare.
