Sergei Bubka is in the middle of the Ukraine team. Is he still competing? Surely not!

Trinidad & Tobago are very sensible. They are dressed like Ryder Cup players teeing off at the Belfry. Tunisia - we must be nearly done now...

The doping scandal which has engulfed Russia has overshadowed the build-up to these Olympics and they get a 'mixed' reception. Noticeably loud.

They wear some very smart jackets though.

  19. 'Nothing to celebrate in Brazil'published at 02:17 British Summer Time 6 August 2016

    Tim Vickery
BBC Sport South American football expert

The mood started to change in Brazil on Thursday, when I was walking down the Copacabana. The fairydust of the event is created by people coming from abroad, they have a vested interest in having a good time and that changes the mood. It will be interesting to see how it makes the locals feel.

There is nothing to celebrate in Brazil anymore, economic boom has become economic depression. The slowing down of goods to China has changed the mood in the country. The Brazilian media are trying to sell the football as the most important event here.
