Remember, that is a fifth gold medal for Sir Bradley Wiggins, level with Sir Steve Redgrave. It's an eighth medal in total, level with absolutely no one. In terms of British athletes, he stands alone.
It's three golds for Ed Clancy, two for Steven Burke and a first for Olympic debutant Owain Doull.

It was anything other than assured. It was a nail biter, a classic battle.
I have goosebumps.

Australia had to go out fast, they had no other option and it took Great Britain time to get up to speed. The Australian team did not look as tight-knit as they could have done.
It was an incredible final and you want it to be close, you don't want it to be a walkover, and it was definitely close.

To confirm, the world record has gone again. That's the third time GB have set a new mark in two days. 3:50.265.
You know what, though, that was incredibly, incredibly tense. Only in the last 1000 or 750m did GB have that.
A heart-stopping race.

GB had to work for it, we didn't expect that.
Australia produced at the perfect moment, GB had to give everything.
I didn't enjoy that.

There was a slight wobble from Clancy and that cost them but GB are getting back level now.
