I was surprised when Mo took the tumble that the others did not seize that moment and increase the pace.

Now I am watching Mo's style and he does not seem to be affected and is not carrying a limp or anything.

A botched run-up means that Jessica Ennis-Hill's third throw is only 42.17m. She will have a healthy deficit to make up in the 800m at 03:18 BST.

    IT WILL BE EPIC.

The athletics may just be reaching boiling point, but the swimming is close to being taken off the heat.

The bad news is we only have four more races to enjoy. The good news is we have British medal hopes in three.

Fran Halsall is up first at 02.03 BST in the women's 50m freestyle final, alongside America's Simone Manuel, who became the first black female to win Olympic gold in the pool on Friday.

That's followed by the men's 1500m freestyle final at 02:11, before events are concluded with a pair of exciting relays.

200m medley silver medalist Siobhan-Marie O'Connor, is joined by Chloe Tutton, Georgia Davies and Georgia Coates in the women's 4x100m medley at 02.49.

And to finish, team GB's new poster boy Adam Peaty is in action with the men's 4x100m medley team at 03:04, alongside silver medal-winning members of the 4x200m freestyle team James Guy and Duncan Scott, and Chris Walker-Hebburn.

    Athletics: Men's 10,000m final

    Steve Cram
BBC athletics commentator on BBC TV

Mo Farah was quickly up, he just got a quick clip there. That was the one thing his team feared and you don't want it happening.

He was just relaxing there, and Galen Rupp clips his heel. It is not good and upsets your rhythm. Hopefully it hasn't shaken Mo too much.

Farah fell but got up very quickly. If he is going to win this title he's got to do it in the hardest way possible. He gave the thumbs up to his training partner. That is unbelievable.

The advantage of doing the 10,000m and not the 100m is that a trip like that does not mean game over. The chap from Cool Runnings never got the second chance that Mo Farah now has. And he seems fine, he's back in position, about eight athletes back.

Still over 10 minutes of running to go.
