Tonia nailed that in the prelims but just left it short there, not quite completing the dive. That is a huge shame for Tonia. Hard to swallow, but she will be way off the pack now.

It's not often I'll agree with Miranda Hart but she's right - the divers' hair is almost touching the board as they come back through a backflip, 10m up in the air. It's terrifying.

Unbeatable and Insurmountable. New Zealand's Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, the four-time world champions, have won gold in the men's two-person 49er skiff class after victory in the medal race. Australia took silver overall and Germany bronze.

GB's Dylan Fletcher-Scott and Alain Sign had been out of podium contention coming into today, and their boat capsized around the fourth mark of the medal race meaning they eventually finished last. Overall, GB were placed sixth in the table.

If you needed a sense of how amazing Burling and Tuke are, they have gone unbeaten since their silver-medal finish at London 2012. In a different class (no puns intended).

What an end to the sailing regatta! Brazil come from behind to beat New Zealand to gold in the women's 49er FX as Martine Grael, alongside Kahena Kunze, follows in father Torben's footsteps by winning an Olympic title.

Then, as the pair head to the beach for the traditional sail past, their friends and family swim out to join them for a celebratory sing-song.

"Brazil, Brazil, Brazil," rings out across Guanabara Bay.
