    Yesterday, Great Britain's Olympic gold medallist Laura Trott spoke to BBC Radio 5 live's Eleanor Oldroyd about her dogs, plans after Rio 2016 and fiance Jason Kenny.

    "I'm going to have a break and time to myself," said the 24-year-old.

    "There are so many sacrifices that we make.

    "We want to be normal and take the dogs for super long walks, walk to our local pub and silly things that we just haven't done."

    Alistair and Jonny take to the water, saddle and track at 15:00 BST as they look to add to the medals they won in London.

    Alistair is defending champion, while Jonny took bronze four years ago. 

    The brothers have had their chances boosted by the withdrawal of their main threat: Spain's Javier Gomez, who is out with a broken arm. But while Gomez is missing, compatriot Mario Mola is one of several rivals who could still beat either Brownlee to gold.

    Regardless of the result in their semi-final against Spain tomorrow, the United States men's basketball side have set a record as the best-paid collection of basketball talent ever collected together in one team.

    Forbes estimates , externalthat the 12 members of the team have collected £195m between them over the last year, eclipsing the inflation-adjusted £185m raked in by the class of 2012.

    Rather than the athletes village, the United States men's and women's basketball team are staying on board the Silver Cloud luxury cruise liner moored in Rio's harbour for the duration of the Games.

    Russian boxer Vladimir Nikitin, who won a highly controversial decision over Ireland's Michael Conlan in Tuesday's Olympic quarter-final, is reportedly set to withdraw from the competition because of injuries sustained so far at Rio 2016.

    Nikitin, 26, is scheduled to take on America's Shakur Stevenson - a prodigy of Floyd Mayweather - in the semi-finals on Thursday.

    Irish broadcaster RTE produced an online game, external in which you - as Conlan - land unanswered blows on Niktin, only to lose on a decision.

    Amateur boxing's governing body Aiba have admitted problems with the officiating and judging at Rio.

    Usain Bolt also told BBC Radio 5 live he will run at London 2017 - but only in the 100m.

    Bolt's revelation came after he was informed Justin Gatlin had failed to make tonight's 200m final.  Bolt said Gatlin was too old to double up and that's why he was only going to run the shorter distance in London next year.
