Along with a whacking great tax bill.

US political lobby group Americans for Tax Reform (clue, they aren't pushing for a new 50% bracket) estimate that Biles could have to pay £33,459 as she coughs up a share of her prizemoney and the value of her medals - two things that most countries exempt from tax calculations - along with her estimated £1.5m of endorsements.

What has been the reaction to this upstart Great Britain team back in China?

Well, Nationalist newspaper Huanqiu Shibao says there is "British media excitement over gold medals overtaking China" but the paper stresses that this is only "temporary".

The reason behind Team GB's continued ability to punch above its weight is also a feature in several European papers.

French business daily Les Echos, external suggests that "to understand why Britain is doing so well this year", one needs to remember that its "direct competitor, the Russian team, was heavily penalized".

Adam Gemili got really tight at the end - his shoulders were up high and that makes it really tough.

It was an interesting run by Usain Bolt, he got out fast and quick and let off a bit. De Grasse decided he was going to have a bit of fun and go and get him.

Gatlin made a bit of a mistake. He relaxed. He didn't realise the others were upon him and then he tried to get back into it but you can't do that with the class of this field.

That was a huge mistake and he will know it. A very strange race.

    I can't run properly - Gatlinpublished at 09:15 British Summer Time 18 August 2016

    Athletics

Justin Gatlin, the pantomime villain of athletics, is out of the 200m.

The 34-year-old has been jeered by the crowd during Rio 2016 having returned to the sport after serving two drugs bans and failed to reach the 200m final after finishing third in his heat.

Gatlin, who ran 19.75 last month - the second fastest time of the year, said afterwards he had been hampered by an ankle injury.

"I'm happy to still be here for the relays," he said. "My ankle is giving me a lot of problems. I can't run properly and I had a tight turn in lane three."

    'I really tightened up'published at 09:11 British Summer Time 18 August 2016

    Athletics

Adam Gemili had a nervous wait last night to see if his time of 20.08 seconds was good enough to get him into the 200m final after he finished third in his semi-final.

But the 22-year-old's place in the final as a fastest loser was confirmed after the third semi-final.

"I really tightened up. I'm in a lot better shape than 20.08," he said. "I was really disappointed seeing that.

"But that's a good thing I suppose that I'm not satisfied with that and I will go and push on."

His team-mate Danny Talbot clocked a personal best 20.25, the same time as Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, but it was not enough for either to go through.

Scottish cyclist Callum Skinner has shot down a political group's tweet that aligned Great Britain's success with it's pro-Brexit beliefs.

"I wish you wouldn't use my image to promote your campaign," he wrote in reply to a Leave.eu video that featured stills of him along with other British medallists. Skinner also posted both European Union and Union flags in his reply.

A British Olympic Association confirmed that it had contact Leave.eu about the unauthorised use of images of its athletes and logo.

"In this case, given the scale of the use of our intellectual property without our consent, we contacted Leave.EU by email to request them to refrain from doing so.”  said a spokesperson. , external

Leave.eu's video also lists Skinner's medals from the Games as "silver medal men's sprint and team sprint", apparently overlooking the fact that he was part of the team sprint trio that won gold.
