There is a big fat zero next to Nick Skelton's name. 12 others went clear earlier, but the first of them, Edwina Tops-Alexander clips the first of the double bar and incurs four points.

Count them down. 11 to go...

Former international show jumper Andy Austin on BBC One: "Nick was absolutely riding for his life.

"Big Star was leaping over the fences, showing incredible class and quality.

"He is into a jump off if anyone else can jump clear."

Nick Skelton and Big Star lead the Olympics! There are 12 riders to go, but they cannot beat Skelton. At the very least, Skelton will get a jump-off.

New leader, Argentina's Matias Cannavaro. One time fault to go with one from earlier, total of two penalties. I still doubt that will be enough come the shake-down, mind.

There were 13 riders to go clear earlier on, so that gives you an idea of the standard. Of those, Skelton is out clear because he was the first to go clear earlier.

Stand by. Two riders, then Nick Skelton. We're getting to the big boys now. One penalty from the earlier round at most.

    Brazil 0-1 Canada

Half-time in Sao Paulo, Canada still leading the women's bronze-medal match after that early goal. Brazil with work to do if they are to get some metal out of this one.

At the moment, Portugal's Luciana Diniz and America's McLain Ward share the lead on only four penalties. Nick Skelton has a blank scorecard after the earlier round, but so do plenty of other riders. I suspect he may need another clear round to get in the mix.

Not only have those flashing trainers been revealed, but also Team GB's entire closing ceremony wardrobe. Free kit would be one of the best things about being an Olympic athlete.
